Project Description

A retaining wall with a vertical top-to-bottom through crack signifies severe movement between respective wall slabs. Doing traditional structural crack repair would not be feasible in this case, as it would increase strain on an already flexing structure. The most practical way of treating this waterproofing job is through expansion joint type of injection.

Our specialized PolyFlex material is designed to work with moving slabs as they expand and contract. The material is rated to withstand 180% of expansion and contraction while retaining firm adhesion to both concrete slabs. It anchors itself to the surface, provides waterproofing, and an adhesive layer for the paint to be applied on top.

  • 25 years of useful life
  • 0% water permeation
  • Polyforce Plus is rated to expand and contract with concrete
  • The entire surface and volume of the slab is "monolithic"
  • Compressive strength of 85 MPa
  • Polyforce Plus mixed with Basalt reaches a compressive strength of 150 MPa
  • Adhesive strength of 1.85 MPa (original concrete has only 1.2 MPa of a tensile strength, so the bond is stronger than the concrete itself)
  • Repair is 60% cost of a traditional repair
