Material Use:
ALSAN TRAFIK HP 530 is a one-component, aliphatic polyurethane resin designed for use as a wearing course or topcoat in waterproofing and traffic-bearing systems. It is primarily used in the ALSAN DECK 210 system for waterproofing and protecting surfaces such as parking decks, balconies, and plaza decks. The product provides a durable, UV-stable, and abrasion-resistant finish suitable for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
System Components:
ALSAN TRAFIK HP 530 is used in conjunction with the following system components:
- Primers: ALSAN TRAFIK PU 122 or ALSAN FLOOR EP 101 must be used as primers to ensure proper adhesion to the substrate.
- Base Coat: Typically, a compatible polyurethane base coat is applied prior to ALSAN TRAFIK HP 530, as part of the ALSAN DECK 210 system.
- Topcoat (Optional): For enhanced durability or aesthetic finish, a second coat of ALSAN TRAFIK HP 530 may be applied. For a glossy or colored finish, ALSAN TRAFIK HP 540 (with optional color pack) can be used as a final topcoat.

Application Details:
- Mixing: Mix the resin for 2 to 3 minutes to achieve a homogeneous consistency.
- Application Method: Apply using a roller at a wet film thickness of 355 µm (14 mils).
- Coverage: One 19 L (5 US gal) container covers approximately 53.4 m² (575 ft²) at 14 mils.
- Non-Slip Finish Options:
- *Light Non-Slip:* Broadcast silica sand (16–32 mesh) in partial saturation onto the wet coat, then roll to encapsulate.
- *Robust Non-Slip:* Broadcast silica sand in full saturation for high-traffic or impact-prone areas. Remove excess after curing.
- Recoating: Maximum recoat time is 36 hours.
- Traffic Readiness: 24 hours for pedestrian traffic; 72 hours for heavy traffic.
Special Notes:
- Pot Life: Not specified, but as a one-component product, it should be used promptly after opening.
- Curing Time: Fully cured in >24 hours under ideal conditions (22 °C / 72 °F and 50% RH).
- Full Cure Time: >24 hours; traffic-ready after 24–72 hours depending on load.
- Temperature Limits: Minimum application and storage temperature is 10 °C (50 °F). This temperature must be maintained throughout the curing process.
- Humidity Considerations: Curing time is affected by temperature and relative humidity; ideal conditions are 22 °C and 50% RH.
- UV Stability: ALSAN TRAFIK HP 530 is UV stable due to its aliphatic polyurethane composition, making it suitable for exposed applications.
- Thickness Limits: Recommended application thickness is 355 µm (14 mils) wet film. Additional coats may be applied for increased durability.
- Storage: Store in original containers for up to 18 months. Do not store below 10 °C (50 °F).
