Material Use:
ALSAN TRAFIK RS 733 is a two-component, self-leveling mortar based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) technology. It is specifically designed for use as a leveling and surfacing layer in PMMA-based waterproofing and traffic coating systems. This product is ideal for preparing and smoothing rough or uneven concrete surfaces prior to the application of PMMA-based coatings.
System Components:
ALSAN TRAFIK RS 733 is composed of two parts:
- Part A: PMMA resin (10 kg / 22 lb)
- Part B: Cementitious powder (23 kg / 50.7 lb)
These components are mixed together in a 1:2.3 ratio by weight to form a 33 kg (72.7 lb) work pack. The system requires the addition of ALSAN RS CATALYST POWDER, which initiates the curing process. The catalyst amount varies depending on ambient temperature, ranging from 2% to 6% of the resin weight.

ALSAN TRAFIK RS 733 is used in the construction and restoration of:

- Balconies
- Pedestrian walkways
- Any concrete surface requiring leveling prior to PMMA coating application
Application Details:
- Surface Preparation: Substrates must be clean, dry, and structurally sound with a minimum compressive strength of 24 MPa (3500 psi). Moisture content must be ≤ 4% (ASTM F2659), and the surface profile should be ICRI CSP 3 or 4, typically achieved by shot blasting.
- Mixing: Mix Part A (resin) thoroughly before use. Add Part B (cementitious powder) slowly while mixing at 200–400 rpm for 2–5 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Add the appropriate amount of ALSAN RS CATALYST POWDER and mix for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- Application Method: Apply using rollers or notched squeegees. Spread evenly to avoid high spots.
- Application Temperature:
- Summer formulation: 10 °C to 35 °C (50 °F to 95 °F)
- Winter formulation: -5 °C to 20 °C (23 °F to 68 °F)
Reaction and Curing Times:
- Pot Life: 10–15 minutes (summer), 20 minutes (winter)
- Rainproof: 30 minutes (summer), 45 minutes (winter)
- Set Time / Walkable / Next Layer: 60 minutes (summer), 90 minutes (winter)
- Full Cure: 3 hours (summer), 6 hours (winter)

Special Notes:
- ALSAN TRAFIK RS 733 is part of a PMMA-based system and should be used in conjunction with compatible ALSAN primers, base coats, and topcoats as specified by SOPREMA.
- This product is not UV-stable and must be overcoated with a UV-resistant PMMA topcoat if exposed to sunlight.
- The product must be stored indoors at 0 °C to 25 °C (32 °F to 77 °F) and has a shelf life of 12 months in original packaging.
- Clean tools and uncured material with mineral spirits, xylene, or similar solvents.
- Do not apply in high humidity or when rain is expected within the curing window.
