Description

Material Use:

CCS HiAmb IR – High Ambient Temperature Epoxy Adhesive for Pressure Injection Grouting. This is a two-component, low-viscosity, structural epoxy adhesive designed for pressure injection grouting and crack repair in high ambient temperature conditions. It is ideal for structural repair of cracks and delaminations in concrete, masonry, stone, and sealed wood. It is also suitable for anchoring applications and adhesive bonding of steel reinforcement.

System Components:

·         Part A: Clear amber epoxy resin (9.4 lbs/gal; 550 cp viscosity)

·         Part B: Dark purple epoxy hardener (8.1 lbs/gal; 110 cp viscosity)

·         Mixed Product: Dark purple, 9.0 lbs/gal, 350 cp viscosity

·         Mix Ratio: 2:1 by volume (100:43 by weight)

Applications:

·         Injection repair of cracks and delaminations in concrete and masonry when temperatures exceed 90°F (32°C)

·         Filling voids in porous and honeycombed concrete and grout

·         Bonding of steel plates for reinforcement

·         Anchoring bolts, dowels, and rebar into structural elements

Application Details:

·         Recommended Ambient/Substrate Temperature: Above 90°F (32°C); applicable down to 50°F (10°C)

·         Minimum Cure Temperature: 50°F (10°C)

·         Thickness Limit: Max 1/4 inch (250 mils / 6.35 mm); thicker applications require pre-placed aggregate to manage exotherm

·         Gel Time: 25 minutes for 100 g at 73°F (23°C)

·         Pot Life & Working Time: Extended for warm environments; not explicitly listed but implied by gel time and characteristics

·         Curing Time: Not specifically defined but testing properties are based on 7-day cure at 73°F

·         Full Cure: Typically considered reached by 7 days at 73°F

·         UV Stability: Not UV-stable; designed for structural/embedded applications

·         Surface Preparation: Requires CSP 2–4 surface profile (ICRI 310.2R), 250 psi tensile substrate strength (ASTM C1583)

·         Steel Prep: SSPC-SP 5/NACE No.1 White Metal Blast Cleaning

Special Notes:

·         Not suitable for applications requiring UV resistance or surface exposure without topcoats

·         Excellent resistance to many chemicals including acids, bases, fuels, and oils; limited resistance to hydrocarbon solvents

·         Shelf life is 3 years in unopened containers (stored between 60–90°F)

·         Do not thin with solvents

·         Complies with ASTM C881, AASHTO M235 (Type IV, Grade 1, Class B & C), ACI 548.15-20, and ICRI 210.IR

Performance Properties:

·         Tensile Strength: 8,300 psi

·         Compressive Yield Strength: 14,000 psi

·         Flexural Strength: 9,500 psi

·         Heat Deflection Temperature: 140°F (60°C)

·         Moduli (Compressive/Flexural): 364,000 psi / 288,000 psi

Elongation at Break: 2.5%
