Description
CCS StripSEAL – Injection Seal Non-Sag Polyurea Crack Sealer. CCS StripSEAL is a two-component, non-sag, polyurea paste adhesive formulated for sealing cracks and delaminations in concrete and masonry substrates. It is primarily used in preparation for epoxy pressure injection. This peelable crack sealer is ideal for preserving decorative concrete surfaces where grinding would otherwise cause surface damage. Once the injection process is complete and cured, the sealer can be removed cleanly by hand, minimizing surface marring.
This system comprises two components—Part A (white) and Part B (black)—mixed at a 1:1 volume ratio to produce a uniform concrete gray-blue paste. It is intended to be used in conjunction with epoxy injection grouts, serving as a temporary surface seal during pressure injection. Although not a structural material on its own, it is a critical part of the crack injection repair system.
Used to seal cracks on dry concrete and masonry surfaces before epoxy injection, CCS StripSEAL is suitable for horizontal, vertical, and overhead applications due to its non-sag properties. It is highly valued in aesthetic-sensitive environments such as decorative concrete surfaces, historic masonry, or architectural concrete, where post-repair appearance is critical.
The material should be applied at a minimum thickness of 1/8 inch (125 mils or 3.18 mm) using a margin trowel or putty knife, taking care not to force it into the crack. Pull-tabs should be embedded for easier removal, or the seal may be pried up manually. For best results, surfaces must be dry, clean, and sound. Do not apply to damp substrates. It cures sufficiently for pressure injection in about 1 hour at 73°F (23°C) and approximately 3 hours at 40°F (4.4°C). Full bond strength (400 psi) develops within 90 minutes at room temperature.
· Environmental & Application Conditions: The minimum substrate temperature for application is 40°F (4.4°C). Do not add solvents or thin the material. It must not be used on wet or damp surfaces.
· Pot Life and Curing Time: Gel time ranges from 4 minutes at 73°F to 9 minutes at 40°F for 100g mix.
· UV Stability: The material is not UV stable and will exhibit moderate discoloration and chalking if exposed to direct sunlight and left unremoved.
· Packaging: Available in 2-gallon kits or cartridges.
· Shelf Life: 12 months in original unopened containers stored between 60–90°F.
· Coverage & Thickness: Designed to be applied at 1/8 inch (125 mils). No explicit coverage in Gal/ft is specified, but uniform spread is expected over crack lines.
· Chemical Resistance: Excellent resistance to acids, bases, fuels, oils, and fluids, but limited against hydrocarbon solvents.
Compatible Primers and Base Coats:
No primer is required for CCS StripSEAL, and it is applied directly onto dry concrete or masonry. It is used as part of an epoxy injection system and not as a standalone repair material. Compatible base and final coats would include epoxy injection resins designed for structural crack repair following manufacturer recommendations
