Description
CCS SuperSEAL is an Injection Seal Paste. It is a two-component, non-sag epoxy paste adhesive formulated for rapid sealing of cracks and delaminations in concrete, masonry, stone, steel, and wood. It is specifically engineered for use prior to pressure injection grouting. Its fast-curing properties make it suitable for cool and cold environments, and it can be applied to both dry and damp substrates.
· Part A: White epoxy resin
· Part B: Black epoxy hardener
· Mixed Color: Concrete blue-gray
· Mixed at a 1:1 ratio by volume or 100:100 by weight.
· Can be used in cartridge or bulk form.
· Compatible with epoxy injection adhesives for structural crack repair systems.
· Surface sealing of cracks and delaminations before pressure epoxy injection
· Bonding applications where high strength and chemical resistance are required
· Can be applied in both horizontal and vertical orientations without sag
· Application Thickness: Up to 1/8 inch (3.18 mm) non-sag in vertical applications
· Recommended Bond Line Thickness: 1/32 inch to 1/8 inch
· Pot Life (Gel Time):
o 18 minutes at 40°F (4°C)
o 7 minutes at 73°F (23°C)
· Minimum Installation Temperature: 40°F (4°C)
· Cure Requirements: Adequate cure time required before starting pressure injection or load-bearing use
· Mixing: Use low-speed (350–750 rpm) drill with Jiffy mixer for 2–3 minutes; mix only as much as can be applied within pot life
· Substrate Prep: CSP 2–4 surface profile per ICRI 310.2R; tensile strength ≥250 psi (1.72 MPa) per ASTM C1583
· Bond Strength to Concrete:
o 45 psi at 40°F (4°C)
o 75 psi at 73°F (23°C)
· UV Resistance: Not explicitly noted; intended for use beneath surface-level injections
· Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT): 110°F (43°C); service temp should be ≤90°F (32°C) in shear applications
· Chemical Resistance: Excellent against acids, bases, fuels, oils; limited resistance to hydrocarbon solvents
· VOC Content: 0 – compliant for VOC-sensitive applications
· Safety: Contains mecaptans; adequate ventilation and protective gear required. Part B is corrosive and hazardous.
· Cleanup: Uncured material can be cleaned with acetone or detergent; cured material requires epoxy stripper
