Description

Self-adhesive waterproofing membrane composed of SBS modified bitumen and a tri-laminated woven polyethylene facer used on foundation walls and other below grade vertical walls.

UNITS PER SKID:

box - 25

roll - 30

Material Use:

COLPHENE 3000 is a self-adhesive waterproofing membrane designed for use on foundation walls and other below-grade vertical surfaces. It provides a durable and flexible barrier against water infiltration and is particularly suited for use in foundation waterproofing systems.

System Components:

COLPHENE 3000 is composed of SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) modified bitumen, which enhances its flexibility and durability, and is surfaced with a tri-laminated woven polyethylene facer. The underface is protected with a silicone release film for easy application. This membrane is used in conjunction with specific primers to ensure optimal adhesion and performance. The system also includes SOPRAMASTIC for sealing terminations and termination bars for mechanical fastening at the upper edge.

Applications:

This membrane is ideal for waterproofing below-grade vertical surfaces such as concrete, masonry, and wood foundation walls. It is suitable for both residential and commercial construction projects where long-term waterproofing performance is required.

Application Details:

COLPHENE 3000 is applied as a self-adhesive membrane. Prior to installation, the substrate must be clean, dry, sound, and free of contaminants. The use of a primer is mandatory to ensure proper adhesion. Recommended primers include SOPRASEAL STICK PRIMER, ELASTOCOL STICK ZERO, or ELASTOCOL STICK H2O. The membrane is applied by peeling off the silicone release film and pressing the membrane onto the primed surface using a membrane roller to ensure full contact. Side lap joints must be a minimum of 75 mm (3 in), and end lap joints must be a minimum of 150 mm (6 in). The top edge of the membrane must be mechanically fastened and sealed with SOPRAMASTIC.

Special Notes:

- Application Temperature:

- Winter formulation: -10 to 10 °C (14 to 50 °F)

- Summer grade: 10 to 50 °C (50 to 122 °F)

- UV Exposure: The membrane can be exposed to UV for up to 60 days before backfilling or covering.

- Thickness: 1.5 mm (60 mils)

- Dimensions: 1 m x 18.7 m (3.3 ft x 61 ft)

- Weight: 1.5 kg/m² (0.3 lb/ft²)

- Coverage: Approximately 18.7 m² (201 ft²) per roll, not accounting for overlaps.

- Substrate Requirements: Concrete must be cured for a minimum of 14 days before application. An adhesion test is recommended.

- Storage: Rolls must be stored upright with the selvedge side on top. If stored outdoors, they must be covered with an opaque protective cover.

- Performance Highlights:

- Excellent flexibility at cold temperatures (-35 °C / -31 °F)

- High resistance to hydrostatic pressure (>110 m / >360 ft)

- Superior puncture and tear resistance

- Low water absorption (0.1%)

- High peel and lap adhesion strength

- Effective radon and methane gas barrier

COLPHENE 3000 is a high-performance waterproofing solution that, when used with the appropriate primers and accessories, forms a complete and reliable system for protecting below-grade structures from water ingress and gas infiltration.
