Description

PCF 2151 polyurethane foam systems are designed for molding and void filling applications. PCF 2151-20 can be designed to meet a variety of reactivity requirements without sacrificing product quality and can be formulated to a wide range of densities from 3 to 30 lbs/ft3 The unique handling characteristics of the PCF 2151 series systems provide ease of mixing by hand or machine to produce a uniform product with excellent cell structure.

Material Use:

PCF 2151-20-90S-NATURAL – Rigid Polyurethane Foam System

PCF 2151-20-90S-NATURAL is designed for molding and void filling applications requiring high compressive strength and fine cell structure. It is commonly used in the manufacture of molded picture frames, furniture components, structural floats, and other design-oriented applications.

System Components:

This is a two-component polyurethane foam system composed of:

·       Side-A (Isocyanate): Viscosity 150–250 cps, Specific Gravity 1.23, 10.33 lbs/gal

·       Side-B (Polyol Blend): Viscosity 900–1100 cps, Specific Gravity 1.04, 8.69 lbs/gal

It is mixed at a 1:1 volume ratio.

Applications:

Used in rigid foam molding processes that demand structural integrity and aesthetic detailing. Particularly suited for shaped parts in decorative and structural contexts.

Application Details:

·       Mix Ratio: 1:1 by volume

·       Cream Time: 80–90 seconds at 74°F (23°C)

·       Processing Temperature: Side A should be stored and used between 77°F to 95°F (25°C to 35°C). Side B can be stored at ambient temperatures.

·       Density: 18–20 lbs/ft³

·       Compressive Strength: 800 psi (5.2 MPa)

·       Tensile Strength: 650 psi (4.5 MPa)

·       Shear Strength: 400 psi (2.76 MPa)

Special Notes:

·       The material contains no CFCs or Ozone Depleting Substances.

·       It is expected to pass E-84 (surface burning characteristics) testing; results pending.

·       Avoid exposure of Side A to moisture; use nitrogen blanket for partially used drums.

·       Heating must be done evenly—avoid direct or localized heating methods like drum heaters.

·       Exposure to temperatures above 400°F (204°C) may cause container rupture due to pressure buildup.

·       Product safety and handling guidelines are detailed in associated SDS documentation.
