Description

Polyeuro® 7851 is a fast setting, rapid curing, 100% solids, flexible, aliphatic, color stable, two component spray polyurea that can be applied to suitably prepared interior or exterior concrete and metal surfaces. Its extremely fast gel time makes it suitable for applications down to -20°F (-28.89°C).

Material Use:

Polyeuro 7851 – Two Component Aliphatic Polyurea Protective Coating

Polyeuro 7851 is a fast-setting, rapid-curing, 100% solids, flexible, aliphatic, color-stable polyurea coating. It is intended for both interior and exterior use on properly prepared concrete and metal substrates. It is suitable for environments requiring high flexibility, chemical resistance, and UV stability.

System Components:

This is a two-part system consisting of:

·       Side-A (Isocyanate Component)

·       Side-B (Resin Component; can include color packs if custom colors are desired)

Both components are mixed in a 1:1 volume ratio and applied using plural component spray equipment. The product can be used with reinforcement in transitional areas and may be paired with:

·       Polyprime 21 + Sand or PC-260 as a substrate repair and priming system on deteriorated concrete.

Applications:

 Recommended for use in:

·       Cold-storage facilities

·       Industrial and manufacturing plants

·       Fertilizer plants

·       Paper and pulp mills

·       Marine environments, offshore platforms

·       Refineries and power plants

·       Walkways, balconies, and structural steel protection

Application Details:

·       Pot Life: 10–12 seconds at 150°F (65.5°C)

·       Tack Free Time: 30–45 seconds

·       Recoat Time: 0–3 hours

·       Application Temperature: Components must be preconditioned to 80–90°F (27–32°C). Spray at a minimum of 2000 psi and >150°F (66°C).

·       Surface Temperature: Must be at least 5°F (3°C) above dew point

·       Curing Time: Fast curing, full properties depend on environmental factors and system build-up

·       Thickness & Coverage:

o   Recommended build is determined by desired performance (no sag in vertical build)

o   1 mil (0.0254 mm) theoretical coverage: 1 gallon = 1600 ft²

o   Coverage formula: (1600 ft² per gal / Dry Mil Thickness) × Solids Content = Application Rate

·       UV Stability: Fully aliphatic and UV stable, with excellent color retention

·       Temperature Resistance:

o   Dry: -40°F to 250°F

o   Wet: 40°F to 120°F

Special Notes:

·       VOC: 0 g/L – compliant with zero VOC regulations

·       Hardness: 80 ± 5 Shore A

·       Elongation: 350% ± 50%

·       Tensile Strength: ~1600 psi

·       Surface Prep: Concrete must be CSP 3–5; cure for 28 days minimum. Steel must be prepared per SSPC-SP10/NACE 2 with a 3–4 mil profile.

·       Storage: Shelf life is 1 year; store indoors between 60–95°F, away from freezing.

·       Limitations: Product must not be diluted; not to be opened until ready for immediate use. Side-A and Side-B are classified as hazardous and must be handled per DOT regulations.
