SOPRAROCK FLUTE FILLER is a rigid mineral wool (stone wool) insulation filler designed for use in roofing systems, particularly for acoustic insulation and leveling of metal decks during re-roofing applications. It is custom-cut to match the profile of metal roofs or decks and is available with or without a lightly sanded bitumen surface. The product is non-combustible and provides excellent fire resistance, soundproofing, and moisture resistance.

SOPRAROCK FLUTE FILLER is typically used as part of a roofing insulation system. It can be installed using DUOTACK adhesives or mechanically fastened with screws and insulation plates. It may also be loose-laid, provided it is secured by subsequent roofing layers. The product must be covered by a membrane or other protective layer at the end of each workday to prevent weather exposure.
Applications:
This material is intended for use in commercial and industrial roofing systems, particularly for re-roofing over metal decks. It serves both as an acoustic insulation layer and as a leveling filler to create a uniform surface for subsequent roofing layers. It is suitable for use in systems requiring compliance with ASTM C726 and FM 4470 (NCC Rated Roof Insulation).

- Installation Methods: Adhered with DUOTACK adhesives, mechanically fastened, or loose-laid (must be secured by overlying materials).
- Dimensions: 1220 mm (4 ft) in length; thickness and width are custom-cut to match the metal deck profile.
- Density: 200 kg/m³ (12.5 lb/ft³)
- Water Absorption: < 1.0% (ASTM C209)
- Dimensional Stability: 0% linear shrinkage after 7 days at -40°C (ASTM D2126)
- Acoustic Performance (NRC): Up to 1.01 at 2000 Hz for 51 mm (2 in) thickness (ASTM C423)
Special Notes:
- SOPRAROCK FLUTE FILLER must not be exposed to weather during or after installation. It must be covered with a membrane or other protective layer at the end of each workday.
- The product is non-combustible and meets FM 4470 requirements for roof insulation with a non-combustible core.
- It is important to consult with a SOPREMA representative for complete installation guidelines and to ensure compatibility with other system components.
- Storage and handling must be done in a dry environment to maintain product integrity.
