SOPRASEAL LIQUID FLASHING is a high-performance, 100% solids, elastomeric polyether membrane designed for use as a liquid-applied flashing component in air and vapor barrier systems. It is primarily used to seal rough openings, joints, and transitions in wall assemblies to ensure air and water tightness. This product is ideal for use in conjunction with SOPREMA’s SOPRASEAL air barrier systems and is compatible with a wide range of construction substrates.

SOPRASEAL LIQUID FLASHING is typically used as part of a complete air and vapor barrier system. It is compatible with and can be used in conjunction with the following SOPREMA products:
- SOPRASEAL XPRESS G (gypsum-based air and vapor barrier panels)
- SOPRASEAL LM 204 VP and SOPRASEAL LM 200 S (liquid-applied air barrier membranes)
Applications:
This product is suitable for use on a variety of substrates including aluminum, brick, concrete, wood, masonry, and PVC. It is used to:
- Seal rough openings around windows and doors
- Fill small gaps, nail holes, and substrate imperfections
- Treat joints in sheathing boards such as drywall, plywood, and OSB
- Seal panel joints in SOPRASEAL XPRESS G systems
Application Details:
- Surface Preparation: Substrates must be clean and dry. Metal and PVC surfaces should be cleaned with non-greasy solvents like acetone or MEK. Painted surfaces must be fully cured.
- Application Method: Apply in a zigzag pattern and spread with a trowel to achieve a monolithic surface.
- Minimum Wet Film Thickness: 1.5 mm (60 mils)
- Coverage Area: Approximately 12.2 lbs/gallon; specific coverage in ft²/gal is not provided but can be estimated based on thickness.
