This product is used as a finishing component in the SOPREMAPOOL waterproofing and pool lining system.
System Components:
SOPREMAPOOL LIQUID PVC is used in conjunction with SOPREMAPOOL membranes, which are thermoplastic PVC-based waterproofing membranes. The system involves welding the SOPREMAPOOL membranes using an electric hot air welder, followed by the application of SOPREMAPOOL LIQUID PVC along the welded seams to ensure complete sealing. No primer is required for this application, but the membrane surface must be clean and dry.
Applications:
This product is intended for use in waterproofing systems for swimming pools, decorative ponds, and other water-retaining structures where SOPREMAPOOL membranes are installed. It is applied exclusively to the welded seams of the membrane to enhance water tightness and durability.
Application Details:
SOPREMAPOOL LIQUID PVC must be applied using a specially designed dispenser directly along the overlaps of SOPREMAPOOL membranes that have been previously welded with hot air. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of moisture before application. The average coverage is approximately 10 grams per linear meter (3 grams per linear foot). The product is a viscous liquid and is available in various colours to match the membrane.
Special Notes:
- Environmental Conditions: Do not apply over polystyrene. Ensure the membrane is completely dry before application.
- Flammability: This is a flammable liquid and must be handled with caution. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed handling and safety instructions.
- Storage: SOPREMAPOOL LIQUID PVC can be stored for up to 3 years in its original sealed container at room temperature.
- Temperature Limits: The product has an ignition temperature of 21 °C (70 °F), indicating it should be kept away from heat sources during application and storage.
- UV Resistance: Not specified; however, as it is used in conjunction with SOPREMAPOOL membranes, which are typically UV-resistant, it is assumed to be compatible for exposed applications.
- Thickness and Coverage: This is not a build-up coating; it is applied in a thin layer along seams. Coverage is measured by weight per linear distance: 10 g/linear meter or 3 g/linear foot.
