Single Component Contrast Coating

 TrafficGuard CC is a black contrast coating used to obscure existing pavement markings and provide visual contrast for new traffic patterns. It is designed to enhance roadway safety in work zones, protect and revitalize rumble strips, and offer clear visual signals for both human and autonomous vehicle navigation.

 This is a single-component system, delivered ready to install. It does not list specific primers, base coats, or topcoats, indicating it functions independently.

·      Temporary or permanent masking of pavement markings

·      Rumble strip revitalization and protection

·      Creation of contrast pavement markings on concrete and asphalt roadways

·      Concealment of errant markings and lane guidance

·      Visual enhancement for symbols and traffic delineation

·      Surface preparation: Remove debris via sweeping or blowing. Scarify or remove existing markings per state DOT and manufacturer recommendations.

·      Application temperature: Minimum 40°F (4°C).

·      Coverage: 81 square feet per gallon at 20 mils wet film thickness.

·      Dry time: Track-free in less than 10 minutes at 20 mils.

·      Viscosity: 90–105 KU (ASTM D562).

·      Elongation: >40% (ASTM D638).

·      Solids content: >70%.

·      TrafficGuard CC is UV and weather resistant, suitable for varying seasonal temperatures and sun exposure.

·      Safe for driving surfaces due to a built-in non-skid agent.

·      Available in 5-gallon pails, 50-gallon drums, and 250-gallon totes.

·      Shelf life: 12 months in unopened containers stored at 60°F to 80°F (16°C to 27°C).

·      Must be approved by a ChemCo Systems representative before initial equipment use.

·      Complies with guidelines from state Departments of Transportation.
