Description
Uniflex One Flash Permanent Roof Repair Sealant is a premium flashing grade, UV stable sealant that is permanently flexible. It is a durable, weather resistant seal that provides excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates. Uniflex® One Flash™ eliminates the need for fabric reinforcement.
Material Use:
Uniflex™ One Flash is a premium, flashing-grade, UV-stable sealant designed for roofing applications. It offers flexibility and excellent adhesion for sealing through-roof penetrations, flashings, laps, fasteners, termination points, patch repairs, and pitch pan sealant applications.
System Components:
Uniflex One Flash can be used as a part of a roofing repair system. It must be top coated with silicone coating in ponding water areas and may also be top coated with acrylic or silicone coatings for UV protection and performance enhancement. It is not compatible with urethane or aluminum coatings or those with heavy solvents.
Applications:
- Suitable substrates include aged EPDM, TPO, PVC, metal, concrete, modified bitumen, asphalt BUR, silicone, and acrylic coatings.
- Ideal for sealing laps and fasteners on metal roofing, flashings and penetrations on low slope roofing, and for filling pitch pans.
Application Details:
- Application Tools: Brush, sealant knife, or bulk caulk gun.
- Application Method: Apply at 60 wet mils. For general sealing, extend application 3" on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- Temperature Range: Apply between 30°F and 140°F. Curing temperatures must not drop below 35°F. Service temperature range is -40°F to 200°F.
- Tooling Time: 4–8 minutes.
- Drying and Curing: Skin time is 30–60 minutes; recoat and full cure time is 24 hours at 77°F and 50% RH.
- Pot Life / Working Time: Use all contents within one day of opening due to moisture-reactive nature.
Special Notes:
- UV Stability: UV stable and suitable for UV-exposed applications; recommended to top coat in high UV areas for best performance.
- Thickness Limit: Applied at 60 wet mils (equivalent dry mils), with coverage per gallon approximately 25.6 sq. ft.
- Coverage:
- Per 20 oz sausage: 4 sq. ft., or 25 lineal feet at 2" width.
- Per gallon: 25.6 sq. ft., or 160 lineal feet at 2" width.
- Precautions: For exterior use only. Protect from freezing and do not apply below 50°F. Avoid high surface temperatures during application.
- Shelf Life: 12 months unopened.
