Description
[12 x 375 ML]
Flexible two component Epoxy base resin, designed for
rehabilitation and protection of reinforced concrete
structures exposed to high moisture or running water at
temperatures from +5 °C +60 °C.
- Rehabilitation, protection or reinforcement of reinforced
concrete main barring structures
- Vibration Dampening and structural reinforcement in
bridges or rail structures
- Rehabilitation and protect metals from hydro erosion of
metals, high pressure pumps, ship/machine body and others
- For sealing and waterproofing of basements, foundations,
facades, pools, tunnels, mines, wastewater treatment
structures, large concrete pipes, steel joints and many more
Material Use:
Polyforce® Plus EP is a flexible, rugged, rubberized two-component epoxy resin system formulated for the rehabilitation and protection of reinforced concrete structures exposed to high moisture and running water. It is also effective for vibration dampening, structural reinforcement, waterproofing, and chemical resistance in diverse industrial and infrastructural applications.
System Components:
- Component A (Resin)
- Component B (Hardener)
- Mix Ratio: 5:1 by volume (A:B)
- Primers: Not specifically required; can be applied directly to mechanically prepared surfaces.
- Topcoats: May be used standalone due to self-leveling and non-flammable properties.
Applications:
- Structural rehabilitation and protection of reinforced concrete structures
- Vibration dampening in bridges and rail structures
- Protection of metal surfaces from hydro erosion in pumps, ships, and machines
- Waterproofing basements, foundations, facades, pools, tunnels, mines, and wastewater treatment structures
- Sealing steel joints and large concrete pipes
- Safe for contact with drinking water
Application Details:
- Application Temperature: +5°C to +60°C
- Ambient and Surface Humidity: Performs under high humidity; max ambient 70% RH
- Surface Preparation: Must be clean, dry, and free of loose material; mechanical cleaning recommended
- Pot Life: ~90 minutes at 24°C
- Recoat Time: 2 hours
- Full Cure Time: 2 days at 20°C (50% strength in 4 hours)
- Curing Temp Range: Surface temperature 5°C–30°C
- Dry Film Thickness: 0.5 mm to several meters
- Solids Content: 70% by volume
- Coverage: Not explicitly stated in ft²/gal; thickness-dependent
Special Notes:
- Non-toxic and can be used in potable water applications
- Resistant to UV, acids (diluted), alkalis (diluted), salts, sour crude oil, solvents, and water
- Excellent adhesion to concrete, metals, plastics, wood, and ceramics
- Tensile strength at 20°C: 44 MPa
- Adhesion is stronger than the concrete substrate itself
- Operating Temp Range: -100°C to +100°C
- Dry Temperature Resistance: Continuous up to 90°C, non-continuous up to 190°C
- Not recommended for use with nitric or acetic acid
- Discoloration/gloss loss above 90°C
This material is highly versatile and robust, suitable for challenging environments requiring structural strength, chemical resistance, and waterproofing performance.
