Description
The EPOXY CRACK FILLER is a 100% solids two-component
(1A:1B) gel epoxy crack repair which is virtually VOC-free. The
product is easy to use and can be applied on horizontal and
vertical surfaces. It also offers a long pot life and working time
but cures very quickly allowing the installation of the base coat
or primer minutes after the application of the EPOXY CRACK
FILLER. This product possesses superior mechanical and c
hemical properties suited for residential, commercial and
industrial applications. The formulation is based on a high-per-
formance cycloaliphatic polyamine technology displaying
outstanding properties.
Material Name:
Epoxy Crack Filler (Labsurface)
Material Use:
The Epoxy Crack Filler is a high-performance, VOC-free, 100% solids two-component gel epoxy designed for filling cracks and voids in concrete surfaces. It is suitable for both horizontal and vertical surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
System Components:
This material consists of two components: Part A (white) and Part B (black), which are mixed in a 1:1 ratio by volume to yield a light grey gel. It is compatible with LABPOX® epoxy systems, LABFAST® and LABSHIELD® polyaspartic coatings, and can be used in conjunction with LABPOX® MVB as a moisture mitigation system when necessary.
Applications:
- Manufacturing and industrial facilities
- Warehouses
- Commercial centers and office buildings
- Retail stores and garages
- Food and beverage processing areas
- Hospitals, schools, and pharmaceutical environments
Application Details:
- Mix Ratio: 1A:1B
- Application Method: Apply with a trowel or scrapper
- Application Temperature: Between 10°C (50°F) and 30°C (86°F)
- Relative Humidity Limit: Below 85%
- Working Time (Pot Life): 30 minutes at 22°C (72°F) and 50% RH
- Tack Free Time: 2 hours
- Dry Through: 2.5 hours
- Foot Traffic Ready: 2.5 hours
- Full Cure Time: 24 hours
- Recoat Window: 60 minutes (max 24 hours without sanding)
- Shelf Life: 1 year in unopened containers
- Surface Prep: Concrete must be clean, dry, free of contaminants, and moisture content must be below 4% (measured using Tramex® CME/CMExpert).
Special Notes:
- UV Stability: Not specified (typically not UV-stable unless stated)
- Coverage: Not explicitly stated, designed for gap-filling (coverage depends on void size)
- CSP Requirement: Concrete should be prepared to CSP 3 or greater
- Primer Compatibility: Can be recoated with LABPOX®, LABFAST®, or LABSHIELD® systems
- Moisture Conditions: Use LABPOX® MVB if concrete is not fully cured or shows high moisture
- Curing Influence: Curing accelerates in warm environments and decelerates in cold ones
- Storage: Maintain room temperature; avoid unvented direct-fired heat sources
- Limitations: Do not clean surface during the curing phase; avoid exposure to high humidity substrates without mitigation.
