Description
Slow Cure, 100% solids, 2-component epoxy coating designed for controlling moisture vapor emissions on new or deteriorated concrete floors. Recommended to be applied in areas of high humidity or on wet concrete. Applied at a thickness of 18 mils, and exceeds ASTM F3010 product requirements for vapor permeance. Will withstand moisture vapor emission rates of up to 25lbs./24hrs./1000 ft2 when applied properly.
Material Name: MVB-6000-SC (Moisture Vapor Barrier Epoxy – Standard Cure)
Material Use:
MVB-6000-SC is a 100% solids, two-component epoxy coating designed to control moisture vapor emissions on new or deteriorated concrete surfaces. It is specifically formulated as a vapor barrier primer in areas with high humidity or damp concrete and is suitable for industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
System Components:
-
Base Coat / Primer: MVB-6000-SC itself functions as the primer.
 -
Repair System: All cracks and surface defects should be filled with a compatible epoxy crack filler prior to application.
 -
Top Coats: A topcoat or second coat should be applied 8-12 hours after the base if required.
 -
Cleaning Solvent: Xylene for uncured material.

Applications:
Ideal for use in:
-
Industrial: Garages, warehouses, airports, manufacturing plants.
 -
Commercial: Hotels, showrooms, hospitals, offices, restaurants.
 -
Residential: Basements, bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, pool outlines.

Application Details:
-
Mix Ratio: 2 parts resin (A) to 1 part hardener (B) by volume.
 -
Mixing: Pre-mix each part for 2–3 min; final mix for 1 min at low speed (300–450 rpm).
 -
Application Tools: Rubber squeegee and 10 mm roller.
 -
Recommended Thickness: 18 mils (wet film); coverage: 90–100 sq. ft. per gallon at this thickness.
 -
Pot Life: 30–45 minutes at room temperature (142g mass); 20–25 minutes per 3-gallon kit.
 -
Dry Time:
-
Re-coat: 8–12 hours
 -
Light traffic: 12–24 hours
 -
Full cure (heavy traffic): 7 days

 -

Special Notes:
-
Environmental Conditions for Installation:
-
Ambient temperature: 15–21 °C (59–70 °F)
 -
Do not apply below 5 °C (41 °F) or above 30 °C (86 °F)
 -
Ambient relative humidity must be below 85%
 -
Substrate temperature must be 3 °C above dew point
 -
Substrate moisture content must be <6%

 -
 -
