Formulated for interior and exterior use, Pro Industrial™ Multi-Surface Acrylic can be applied on marginally prepared metal or masonry surfaces. Features multiple sheens, fast dry, easy application and dry fall properties.
Material Use:
Pro Industrial Multi-Surface Acrylic Matte is a high-performance, waterborne acrylic coating designed for both interior and exterior applications. It is formulated for use on marginally prepared metal, masonry, and other common construction substrates. This product is ideal for commercial and industrial environments where fast drying, ease of application, and dry fall properties are beneficial. It is suitable for use in USDA-inspected facilities and offers excellent one-coat hide, stain blocking, and abrasion resistance.

This coating is suitable for a wide range of substrates including:
- Steel (with or without primer)
- Galvanized and aluminum surfaces
- Concrete and masonry (including CMU)
- Drywall
- Pre-finished siding (baked-on finishes)
- Interior and exterior wood
Application Details:
- Application Methods: Airless spray, conventional spray, brush, or roller
- Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 3.75–6.0 mils
- Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 1.5–2.5 mils
- Coverage: 270–450 sq. ft. per gallon (theoretical coverage at 1 mil dry = 674 sq. ft./gal)
- Drying Times at 5.0 mils wet, 50% RH:
- 50°F: Touch – 1 hr, Handle – 2 hrs, Recoat – 4 hrs
- 77°F: Touch – 30 min, Handle – 1 hr, Recoat – 2 hrs
- 100°F: Touch – 15 min, Handle – 30 min, Recoat – 1 hr
- Dry Fall Property: Effective within 10–15 feet
- Pot Life: Not applicable (single-component water-based product)
- Curing Time: Fast-drying; full cure typically within 7 days
- Temperature Range for Application: Minimum 50°F (10°C), Maximum 100°F (37.7°C); at least 5°F above dew point
- Relative Humidity Limit: Maximum 85%
- VOC Content: <50 g/L (0.42 lbs/gal)
- UV Resistance: Good exterior color and gloss retention; suitable for exterior use
- Shelf Life: 24 months unopened
- Clean-Up: Soap and warm water; flush spray equipment with compliant solvent after use
Special Notes:
- This product is optimized for spray application and features dry fall properties, making it ideal for large-scale commercial or industrial projects where overspray control is important.
- For best performance on steel, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces, the use of a primer is recommended, although the product is self-priming on many surfaces.
- Surface preparation is critical for adhesion and longevity. All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants.
- Not recommended for use on wet surfaces or immediately after rain or in foggy conditions.
- Overspray may adhere to hot surfaces; clean immediately to prevent permanent adhesion.
- This product complies with major environmental regulations including LEED v4/v4.1, CARB, SCAQMD, and Canadian standards.
- Performance testing shows excellent adhesion (1293 psi), abrasion resistance (71.9 mg loss), and flexibility (passes 1/8" mandrel bend).
