Description

Pro Industrial™ SprayLastic® Waterborne Dryfall is an acrylic coating designed for interior or exterior use where overspray dries to a removable dust within 10 feet.

Material Use:

Pro Industrial™ SprayLastic® Waterborne Dryfall Semi-Gloss is a high-performance, rust-inhibitive acrylic coating designed for both interior and exterior applications. It is particularly suited for overhead spray applications where overspray is a concern, as it dries to a removable dust within 10 feet of application. This product is ideal for use in commercial, industrial, and institutional environments such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities, gymnasiums, and parking garage ceilings.

System Components:

This coating system may include primers, block fillers, and conditioners depending on the substrate. The system typically consists of:

- Primer/Base Coat (as needed by substrate):

- Pro Industrial™ Pro-Cryl Primer

- Pro Industrial™ DTM Primer-Finish

- Pro Industrial™ Kem Bond HS

- Loxon® Concrete & Masonry Primer

- Loxon® Conditioner

- Pro Industrial™ Heavy Duty Block Filler

- Loxon® Acrylic Block Surfacer

- Pro Industrial™ Bond-Plex Waterbased Acrylic

- Pro Industrial™ DTM Bonding Primer

- Topcoat: 1–2 coats of Pro Industrial™ SprayLastic® Waterborne Dryfall Semi-Gloss

Applications:

This product is recommended for use on properly prepared structural steel, galvanized metal, aluminum, concrete, masonry, CMU (concrete masonry units), plaster, and previously painted surfaces. It is especially effective in large-scale commercial and industrial settings where dryfall characteristics are beneficial.

Application Details:

- Application Method: Airless or conventional spray only. Brush and roller application are not recommended.

- Airless Spray Settings: 2400 psi, ¼ inch I.D. hose, 0.015–0.019 inch tip, 60 mesh filter.

- Conventional Spray Settings: Binks 95 gun, 63C fluid nozzle, 63PB air nozzle, 60 psi atomization pressure, 50 psi fluid pressure.

- Reducer: Water; may be reduced up to 5% by volume if needed.

- Surface Preparation: Varies by substrate. All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Specific SSPC standards apply for steel, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces. Concrete and masonry must be cured and may require blasting or priming.

- Stripe Coating: Recommended for welds, crevices, and sharp angles to prevent early failure.

- Film Thickness:

- Wet: 4.5–9.0 mils

- Dry: 1.8–3.6 mils

- Coverage: 178–356 sq. ft. per gallon per coat (based on application thickness); theoretical coverage is 641 sq. ft. per gallon at 1 mil dry film thickness.

Environmental & Application Conditions:

- Temperature Range: 40°F (4.4°C) to 110°F (43°C); surface, air, and material must be at least 5°F above dew point.

- Relative Humidity: Maximum 75%

- Dryfall Effectiveness: Effective within 10 feet under standard conditions (77°F, 50% RH). Performance may vary outside this range.

- Drying Times at 7.0 mils wet (50% RH):

- 55°F: Touch – 45 min, Handle – 1 hr, Recoat – 4 hrs

- 77°F: Touch – 30 min, Handle – 45 min, Recoat – 1 hr

- 110°F: Touch – 20 min, Handle – 30 min, Recoat – 1 hr

- Pot Life: Not applicable (single-component waterborne acrylic)

- Full Cure Time: Not explicitly stated; avoid exposure to moisture, dew, or rain for at least 16–24 hours after application.

Special Notes:

- This product is not UV-stable and is intended primarily for interior or protected exterior applications.

- Overspray may adhere to hot surfaces; remove immediately to prevent bonding.

- Not compliant with SCAQMD or LEED v4 emissions standards.

- Tinting is possible with CCE only; Ultradeep Base allows 10–14 oz per gallon.

- VOC content is 108 g/L (0.90 lbs/gal), compliant with most regional regulations except SCAQMD and CARB SCM 2020.

- Shelf life is 36 months unopened.

- Not recommended for brush or roller application.

- Clean tools and equipment with soap and warm water immediately after use.
