ALSAN CIVIL 773 SP is a three component polymethyl methacrylate-based (PMMA) waterproofing sprayable liquid membrane.

Material Use:
ALSAN CIVIL 773 SP is a high-performance, three-component, spray-applied waterproofing membrane based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). It is designed for use in civil engineering applications such as bridges, parking decks, and other infrastructure requiring a durable, flexible, and fleeceless waterproofing system. The product is particularly suited for environments where rapid curing and low-temperature flexibility are essential.
System Components:
The ALSAN CIVIL 773 SP waterproofing system consists of the following components:
- Primer: ALSAN CIVIL P70 – required for both concrete and steel substrates to ensure proper adhesion.
- Base and Final Coat: ALSAN CIVIL 773 SP – applied in two layers (first layer at 80 mils, second layer at 40 mils).
- Catalyst: ALSAN RS CATALYST POWDER – added to Part A of the resin to initiate curing.

Application Details:
- Substrate Requirements:
- Concrete must be cured for at least 28 days with a minimum compressive strength of 24 MPa (3,500 psi) and a surface profile of CSP 3 or 4 (ICRI standard). Moisture content must not exceed 5% (ASTM F2659), 1.5 kg/100 m²/24 h (ASTM F1869), or 75% RH (ASTM F2170).
- Steel surfaces must meet SSPC-SP10 standards and be primed with ALSAN CIVIL P70.
- Mixing Instructions:
- Mix Part A and Part B separately for 2–3 minutes using a slow-speed mixer (200–400 rpm).
- Add ALSAN RS CATALYST POWDER to Part A and mix for an additional 2–3 minutes.
Application Method:
- Use a multi-component sprayer with a 1:1 mixing ratio and a 537 nozzle at a minimum pressure of 2500 psi.
- Apply the first coat at a minimum wet film thickness of 2 mm (80 mils).
- After 60 minutes at 20 °C (68 °F), apply a second coat at a minimum wet film thickness of 1 mm (40 mils).
- Use a wet film gauge to verify thickness.
Special Notes:
- Environmental Conditions:
- Application temperature range: -25 °C to 35 °C (-13 °F to 95 °F).
- Substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.
- For applications below 0 °C (32 °F), consult SOPREMA for guidance.
- Curing and Pot Life:
- Pot life: 12 minutes at 23 °C (73 °F).
- Rainproof after 20 minutes.
- Full cure time: 1 hour.
- Coverage:
- At 40 mils: approx. 344 m² (3,700 ft²) per 203 kg drum.
- At 80 mils: approx. 172 m² (1,850 ft²) per 203 kg drum.
- Thickness Limits:
- Minimum wet film thickness: 40 mils (1 mm).
- Maximum wet film thickness: 80 mils (2 mm) per layer.
- UV Resistance:
- Not explicitly stated; additional topcoat may be required for UV exposure.
- Storage:
- Store indoors at 0–25 °C (32–77 °F), away from heat and direct sunlight. Shelf life is 12 months in original containers.
- Cleaning:
