Material Use:
SENTINEL CUT EDGE SEALANT is a clear, UV-stable polymeric sealant specifically formulated to seal non-factory cut edges of SENTINEL PVC roofing membranes. Its primary function is to prevent moisture wicking into the membrane at exposed edges, thereby enhancing the durability and performance of the roofing system.
System Components:
This sealant is used as an accessory product within the SENTINEL PVC roofing system. It is not a standalone waterproofing or coating product but rather a finishing component that complements the SENTINEL PVC membrane system. It is applied directly to the cut edges of the membrane and does not require a primer or base coat.
Applications:
SENTINEL CUT EDGE SEALANT is used in roofing applications where SENTINEL PVC membranes are installed. It is applied to all non-factory cut edges of the membrane to ensure a watertight seal and prevent moisture ingress. This product is suitable for horizontal applications only and is not intended for use on vertical surfaces.
Application Details:
The sealant is supplied in 355 ml (12 oz) squeezable bottles for easy application. It should be applied as a continuous 3.18 mm (1/8") bead along the cut edges of the membrane. One bottle covers approximately 76 meters (250 feet) at this bead size. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants such as oil, grease, or debris before application. The product becomes tack-free and watertight in approximately 2 hours under normal ambient conditions and reaches full cure within 12 to 24 hours. While the sealant can be applied at any temperature, it must be stored between 16 °C and 27 °C (60 °F and 80 °F) prior to use. Lower temperatures will extend the curing time.

- It is not designed for vertical applications and should only be used on horizontal surfaces.
