It is specifically engineered for use on flat or low-slope roofs where regular maintenance access is required, ensuring the longevity of the underlying waterproofing membrane.
System Components:
This product is used as an accessory component in roofing systems that utilize SENTINEL PVC membranes. It is not a waterproofing membrane itself but serves as a protective overlay. It is fully compatible with SENTINEL PVC roofing systems and is installed using standard hot air welding equipment to ensure a secure bond.

SENTINEL WALKWAY PAD is intended for use on new or existing PVC roofing systems where foot traffic is expected, such as around HVAC units, access points, or service paths. It is ideal for commercial and industrial flat roof applications where membrane protection is critical.
Application Details:
Before installation, the roof surface must be cleaned of all debris and allowed to dry. The walkway pad is unrolled with the textured, diamond-stamped surface facing upward and allowed to relax before positioning. It is then welded around the perimeter with a continuous 38 mm (1.5 in) hot air weld. A 51 mm (2 in) gap must be maintained between adjacent pads to allow for proper water drainage. The pad is 4 mm (160 mils) thick, 762 mm (30 in) wide, and 15.2 m (50 ft) long, covering approximately 11.6 m² (125 ft²) per roll.
Special Notes:
- SENTINEL WALKWAY PAD is not UV-sensitive and is designed for long-term outdoor exposure.
- The product has excellent anti-slip properties with a static coefficient of friction of 0.800 (dry) and 0.838 (wet), making it safe for foot traffic in various weather conditions.
- It exhibits high elongation (120%) and tear resistance (667.2 N MD / 622.8 N XD), ensuring durability under mechanical stress.
- Rolls should be stored horizontally on the original pallet in a clean, dry environment and protected from extreme temperatures and moisture.
- This product is not a standalone waterproofing solution and must be used in conjunction with compatible SENTINEL PVC membranes.
- No primer or base coat is required for installation, but proper surface preparation and hot air welding are essential for performance.
