Material Use:

The product is suitable for both residential and commercial construction projects, offering enhanced energy efficiency and moisture protection.
System Components:
SOPRA-FOIL CM2P is a standalone insulation and vapour barrier system composed of two layers of air bubbles laminated between a metallized polyethylene surface and a clear polyethylene underface. It does not require additional insulation layers but must be installed with compatible accessories such as construction adhesive, double-sided tape, or mechanical fasteners. For optimal performance, the use of spacer or furring strips is recommended to create an air gap that enhances reflectivity.
Applications:
This material is ideal for use under concrete slabs, in walls, ceilings, and floors where reflective insulation and vapour control are needed. It is especially effective in applications where radiant heat transfer needs to be minimized. SOPRA-FOIL CM2P is also suitable for use in crawl spaces, basements, and other areas prone to moisture ingress.
Application Details:
SOPRA-FOIL CM2P can be installed using staples, nails, double-sided tape, or construction adhesive. For under-slab installations, the material should be laid directly on the ground and extended 150 to 200 mm (6 to 8 inches) up the walls. Joints should be overlapped by a few inches and sealed with compatible adhesive tape to ensure a continuous vapour barrier. The recommended air gap between the reflective surface and the covering material is between 1.25 cm and 5 cm (0.5 in to 2 in) to maximize thermal performance. The product must always be installed on the warmer side of the assembly.

- Storage: Store rolls upright in a dry, heated area to prevent condensation.
- Restrictions: Do not use with other vapour barriers. If one is present, it must be removed or perforated. Ensure the product is not punctured and all seams are sealed to maintain vapour barrier integrity.
SOPRA-FOIL CM2P is a durable, non-conductive, and corrosion-resistant insulation solution that enhances energy efficiency while providing excellent vapour control. It is not UV-stable and should be protected from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
