Material Use:
SOPRADRAIN 10-G is a high-strength drainage panel designed for use in commercial waterproofing systems. It is primarily used to facilitate drainage in both vertical and horizontal applications, such as foundation walls and plaza decks. The product is installed over waterproofing membranes to protect them from hydrostatic pressure and to promote water flow away from the structure.
System Components:
SOPRADRAIN 10-G consists of a durable core made from recycled polyethylene and a factory-laminated geotextile fabric. The drainage core provides structural strength and water flow capacity, while the geotextile acts as a filter to prevent soil particles from clogging the drainage system. SOPRADRAIN 10-G is often used in conjunction with waterproofing membranes and may be sealed at joints using SOPRASEAL FLASHPRO, a self-adhesive membrane strip.
Applications:
This product is suitable for use in a variety of commercial drainage applications, including:
- Vertical foundation walls (conventional and blindside)
- Horizontal plaza decks
- Retaining walls
- Below-grade waterproofing systems
Application Details:
- Orientation: For blindside waterproofing systems, the geotextile side should face the retaining wall. For conventional foundations, it should face the backfill.
- Installation Methods:
- *Conventional Foundations:* Can be partially fixed using a termination bar (fastened every 305 mm / 12 in O.C.) or adhered with compatible adhesive spots.
- *Blindside Systems:* Mechanically fastened using anchors and washers (minimum 25 mm / 1 in diameter), with at least one anchor per square metre (10 ft²), and additional anchors at angle changes or details.
- Joint Treatment: Overlapping geotextile should be properly positioned, and joints may be sealed with SOPRASEAL FLASHPRO for added protection.
- Important Restriction: Do not use mechanical anchors through the waterproofing membrane, as this may compromise the integrity of the waterproofing system.

- Material Dimensions: Each roll measures 1.83 m x 15.25 m (6 ft x 50 ft), providing a gross coverage of 27.9 m² (300 ft²).

Storage and Handling:
Store rolls upright in a clean, dry location. Do not double stack pallets. Protect from UV exposure, extreme temperatures, moisture, and other environmental hazards. Keep away from open flames and intense heat sources.
System Compatibility:
SOPRADRAIN 10-G is designed to be used in systems that include waterproofing membranes and complementary products such as SOPRASEAL FLASHPRO. It is not a standalone waterproofing product but serves as a protective and drainage layer in a complete waterproofing assembly.
