CCS Bonder Paste, SWL (Short Work Life)

 CCS Bonder Paste, SWL is a two-component, structural epoxy paste adhesive formulated for high-strength bonding on vertical, overhead, and horizontal surfaces. It is primarily used for bonding hardened concrete, masonry, stone, and steel plates, anchoring bolts, dowels, and rebar, and can also serve as a surface seal in pressure injection crack repair processes.

 This product consists of Part A (resin) and Part B (hardener) mixed in a 2:1 volume ratio. The product can be blended with companion products to adjust its properties:

·         Extended Work Life: Blend Part B with CCS Bonder Paste, LWL (Long Work Life).

·         Lower Viscosity: Blend the mixed product with Bonder Liquid, SWL.

 Ideal for structural bonding in construction where short set times or low-temperature installation is required. Suitable for bonding and grouting applications involving concrete, masonry, stone, and steel, especially in vertical and overhead scenarios.

·         Mix Ratio: 2:1 by volume (100:35 by weight)

·         Application Method: Applied by trowel or caulking gun

·         Non-sag Thickness: Up to ½ inch

·         Working Times:

o        Gel time (1 qt): 30 minutes at 73°F

o        Open time: 3 hours at 73°F

o        Hard dry time: 10 hours at 73°F

o        Full cure time: 4 days at 73°F

·         Surface Conditions: Can bond to dry, damp, or wet (no free-standing water) substrates

·         Preparation: Concrete must be sound and clean; steel cleaned to SSPC SP 5 (white metal)

·         Temperature Limits:

o        Installation minimum: 40°F

o        Maximum in-service temp: 20°F below Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT)

·         Heat Deflection Temp: 120°F

·         Pot Life: Short (30 minutes at 73°F)

·         Cure Behavior: Fast setting, especially at higher temperatures

·         Storage: 3-year shelf life in unopened containers stored between 60–90°F

·         Color: Concrete gray (blue-gray)

·         UV Resistance: Not specified; typically not UV-stable for exposed exterior applications unless overcoated

·         Packaging: Available in 3- and 15-gallon kits

·         Environmental Safety: No VOC solvents; environmentally safe

·         Limitations: Not to be diluted with solvents; viscosity adjustable only with companion products; test compatibility with resinous admixtures in concrete
