CCS Grout, Capsule and Pressure Pot

CCS Grout, Capsule and Pressure Pot is a two-component epoxy adhesive system.  This material is used for pressure injection grouting and gravity feed repair. It is ideal for filling narrow and wide cracks, gaps, voids, and delaminations in concrete and wood structures. Common applications include the repair of honeycombs, inadequate consolidations, and structural bonding in large mass sections where a slow curing, deep penetrating resin is required.

·         Part A: Liquid epoxy resin (clear amber, 9.3 lb/gal, 220 cps viscosity)

·         Part B: Liquid epoxy hardener (clear amber, 7.8 lb/gal, 70 cps viscosity)

·         Mixed ratio: 1.8:1 by volume (100:47 by weight)

·         Mixed material: Clear amber, 8.8 lb/gal, 140 cps viscosity

·         Crack injection in horizontal and vertical concrete elements using capsule or multi-port pressure pot systems

·         Gravity feed crack repair in horizontal slabs

·         Filling of structural voids and delaminations in wood beams and concrete

·         Coverage for gravity feed application: 100–125 sq ft/gal

·         Pot life (gel time): Approximately 2 hours for 1 quart at room temperature

·         Curing schedule: Full cure in 7 days at 73°F

·         Installation temperature: Substrate must be dry with a minimum of 50°F

·         Surface preparation: Clean, sound concrete or steel surfaces; follow ASTM D 4259 and ACI 503R standards

·         Mixing: Use a Jiffy mixer at 350–750 rpm for 2–3 minutes; ensure thorough blending

·         Application tools: Suitable for pre-mix capsules, multi-port injection, or gravity feed methods

·         Skid resistance may be maintained with fine aggregate broadcast onto fresh resin

·         Not UV-stable; recommended for interior or non-UV exposed applications

·         Low exotherm properties allow for thick-section use without excessive heat buildup

·         Environmentally friendly – contains no VOC solvents

·         Do not thin or add solvents

·         Avoid installation in high humidity or wet substrate conditions

·         Excellent chemical resistance, but limited resistance to hydrocarbon solvents

·         Shelf life: 3 years in unopened containers, store at 60–90°F
