Description
A two-component, long work life elastomeric polyurea system used for interior and exterior joint nosing, spall repairs, and concrete restoration. It can be applied as a neat binder for crack and joint filling, or blended with aggregate for mortars, concretes, and flowable grouts.
· Polyurea LWL Part A (resin)
· Polyurea LWL Part B (hardener)
· Polyurea Primer (required for damp surfaces or maximum bond on dry surfaces)
· Aggregates:
o For mortars: High silica sand (>85% SiO₂), washed, kiln-dried, graded.
o For concretes: 1:1 blend of 3/8" gravel and #16 or #20 mesh sand.
· Rebuilding joint nosing
· Repairing spalled or deteriorated concrete
· Gravity filling of saw cuts, control joints, and non-structural cracks
· Mix Ratio: 1:1 by volume (Part A:Part B)
· Primer Required: Yes, on damp surfaces or for maximum bond strength
· Installation Temperature: Minimum 50°F
· Cure Temperature: Minimum 40°F
· Gel Time: ~25 minutes (60g mass)
· Touch Dry Time: ~1.5 hours
· Hard Dry Time: ~5.5 hours
· Substrate Prep: Clean and sound; 250 psi minimum tensile strength for concrete; SSPC SP 5 for steel
· Aggregate Use: Max aggregate size not exceeding 1/3 of installed thickness
· Primer Application: 8–10 mils thickness (coverage 160–200 sq ft/gal)
· Cured product is UV resistant and retains elastomeric properties without embrittlement
· Resistant to vehicular impact, abrasion, automotive/aircraft fluids, and deicing chemicals
· Not resistant to hydrocarbon solvents
· No VOCs; environmentally safe
· Do not thin or add solvents
· Shelf life: 1 year in original, unopened containers stored between 60–90°F
· Clean tools with acetone or appropriate solvent before material cures
Requires nitrogen blanket for preserving partially used Part A containers
