Description

Material Use:

A two-component, low-viscosity structural epoxy adhesive specifically formulated for pressure injection grouting. It is engineered for structural crack and void repair in concrete, masonry, stone, sealed wood, and anchoring applications—particularly effective in submerged or underwater conditions, including both fresh and saltwater environments.

System Components:

·         Part A: Clear amber epoxy resin

·         Part B: Dark purple epoxy hardener

·         Mixed Color: Dark purple

·         Mixing Ratio: 2:1 by volume (100:44 by weight)

Applications:

·         Structural crack and delamination repair in concrete, masonry, and stone

·         Void filling in honeycombed or porous concrete

·         Bonding of external steel reinforcement plates

·         Anchoring of bolts, dowels, and rebar in immersed or submerged substrates

·         Effective in cold, wet, or submerged environments (tidal, fresh, or saltwater)

Application Details:

·         Installation: Applied using automatic meter, mix, and dispense equipment. Surface prep must follow ASTM D4259 or ACI 503R standards. Concrete must have a minimum direct tensile strength of 250 psi. Steel requires “white metal” cleaning (SSPC SP 5).

·         Cure Time:

o        Gel Time @ 73°F: 15 minutes

o        Gel Time @ 40°F: 50 minutes

o        Full cure: 7 days @ 73°F

·         Coverage: 9.1 lbs per gallon (mixed); exact ft²/gal varies by depth and application method

·         Thickness Limits: Recommended thickness not to exceed ¼ inch per lift without pre-placed aggregate to manage exothermic heat.

·         Substrate Conditions: Can bond to dry, damp, wet, immersed, or submerged surfaces. Must be installed soon after surface prep (30 minutes to several hours) to avoid contamination and achieve optimal bonding.

Special Notes:

·         Environmental Limits: Minimum substrate temperature for curing is 40°F. In-service temperatures should remain 20°F below heat deflection temperature (130°F).

·         Pot Life: Short gel time facilitates fast return to service, though dependent on temperature.

·         UV Stability: Not specified; material is intended for structural, not aesthetic exposure.

·         Chemical Resistance: Excellent against a range of acids, bases, oils, and industrial fluids.

·         Shelf Life: 3 years in unopened containers stored between 60–90°F away from sunlight.

·         VOC Content: Solvent-free, no VOCs.

·         Safety: Part A is moderately hazardous; Part B is highly alkaline and corrosive. Full PPE and ventilation required during use.
