ConFlex Flexible Concrete Waterproofer – Smooth

ConFlex Flexible Concrete Waterproofer provides a slip-resistent, breathable finish designed to protect concrete surfaces from water intrusion. Available in both smooth and textured finishes. It is a waterbased coating that offers versatility for residential areas and usage. It can be used as a stand-alone product or overcoated for maximum protection in high traffic areas. It is easily applied and comes in a variety of colors.

Material Use

This product is a flexible, breathable, acrylic-based waterproof coating intended for both interior and exterior use. It is designed to waterproof above or on-grade concrete and masonry substrates such as foundations, block walls, balconies, window and door openings, walkways, parapets, planter boxes, and other vertical or horizontal concrete surfaces.

System Components

ConFlex can function as a stand-alone waterproofing system or be part of a system when over-coated for enhanced properties. For areas requiring improved surface smoothness and abrasion resistance, apply 2 coats of H&C Clarishield Waterbased Wet Look Sealer after the ConFlex has dried. Slip-resistant finish can be achieved with the addition of H&C SharkGrip Slip Resistant Additive in the final coat.

Applications

Recommended for waterproofing applications on concrete and masonry surfaces where flexibility, durability, and breathability are essential. Suitable for residential and commercial projects including pedestrian walkways, balconies, and parapets, but not for areas under hydrostatic pressure, roofing, or vehicle traffic.

Application Details

• Surface Prep: Clean thoroughly. Fill all cracks and voids with elastomeric patch. Prime CMU with Loxon Acrylic Block Surfacer if the surface is under-cured (<30 days).
• Application Tools: Nylon-polyester brush, synthetic roller (¾"–1½" nap), texture sprayer with #4 tip or notched squeegee followed by backrolling.
• Number of Coats: 2 coats
• Wet Film Thickness: 10–12 mils per coat
• Dry Film Thickness: 4.6–5.5 mils
• Coverage: 135–160 sq. ft. per gallon (varies by surface texture and porosity)
• Dry Time at 77°F/50% RH:
• To touch: 1 hour
• Recoat: 4 hours
• Foot traffic: 24 hours

• Installation Temperature: 50°F to 100°F
• pH Tolerance: Can be applied to surfaces with pH up to 13
