ConFlex XL Textured High Build Acrylic Coating

ConFlex XL™ High Build Acrylic Coating is a water proofing coating designed for masonry and concrete surfaces. The thick, elastic film covers, hides and protects for long-lasting durability. ConFlex XL™ is designed to withstand even the toughest of rains. It also conveniently comes in a variety of custom colors which are perfect for new and old masonry surfaces. This coating is easy to apply and comes in smooth and 3 textured finishes.

ConFlex XL is a high build, elastomeric acrylic coating designed for vertical exterior surfaces. It provides protection against wind-driven rain and adds flexibility and durability to substrates like tilt-up, precast, or poured-in-place concrete, CMU (concrete masonry units), and stucco. Not intended for horizontal or below-grade applications.

• Application Method: Spray preferred (airless with specific equipment like Graco TexSpray RTX 1500 or Titan PowrTex 12000SV); brush/roller application possible with caution to avoid air bubbles.
• Surface Prep: Must be clean, dry, free from contaminants and efflorescence. Full curing (30 days) or minimum 7 days + primer required for new concrete.
• Crack Treatment:
• ≤1/32”: prime then coat
• 1/32”–1/16”: elastomeric patch or sealant
• 1/16”–3/8”: open, clean, patch with crest for shrinkage
• Thickness:
• Wet mils: 20.0–23.0 mils
• Dry mils: 8.6–9.9 mils per coat
• Minimum system dry film thickness for waterproofing: 12–15 mils (excluding texture)
• Coverage: 70–80 sq. ft./gal per coat
• Drying Times @ 77°F, 50% RH:
• Touch dry: 4 hours
• Recoat: 24 hours
• Pot Life: Not applicable (single component, ready to use)
• Curing Time: Allow each coat to dry for 24 hours. Full cure based on system and conditions.

Environmental & Safety Limitations

• Temperature Range: 50°F to 100°F during application
• Humidity: Ideal at 50% RH; drying times will vary with conditions
• Not UV-rated: Product is not specifically labeled as UV stable/resistant; exterior-only use implies some UV tolerance
• VOC: 98 g/L (0.82 lb/gal)
• Shelf Life: 36 months unopened
• Environmental Compliance: Meets OTC, SCAQMD, CARB, MPI standards
• Cautions: Not for horizontal surfaces, soffits, or below-grade use. Not resistant to hydrostatic pressure.

• Not intended for use on walkable surfaces or areas collecting water.
• Contains mildewcides to inhibit mildew growth on the film.
• Passes wind-driven rain resistance and low temp flexibility testing (ASTM standards).
