DUOTACK SPF ADHESIVE is a low-rise, two-component, polyurethane, sprayable adhesive.
UNITS PER SKID: 24
For Part A and Part B, and for adhesive kit it does not say.
Material Use:
DUOTACK SPF ADHESIVE is a low-rise, two-component, sprayable polyurethane adhesive designed specifically for roofing applications. It is formulated to bond SENTINEL HFB PVC membranes to approved substrates in a spray-applied pattern. This adhesive is ideal for use in commercial and industrial roofing systems where a strong, uniform bond is required between the membrane and the substrate.
System Components:
DUOTACK SPF ADHESIVE is supplied as a two-part system consisting of Part A (polymeric isocyanate) and Part B (proprietary polyol blend). The adhesive is applied using a kit that includes a 7.62 m (25 ft) hose, an application gun, and replacement nozzles. The system is designed to be used in conjunction with SENTINEL HFB PVC membranes, forming a complete adhered roofing system.
Applications:
This adhesive is used primarily in roofing systems to adhere PVC membranes to various substrates. It is suitable for use on clean, dry, and debris-free surfaces and is applied in a spray pattern to ensure even coverage and optimal adhesion. The product is intended for professional use in commercial roofing installations.
Application Details:
DUOTACK SPF ADHESIVE should be sprayed from a height of 0.9–1.2 m (3–4 ft) above the substrate, covering approximately 55% to 65% of the surface area. Once applied, the membrane must be immediately placed over the adhesive, broomed into place, and rolled with a 150 lb roller to ensure full contact and adhesion. The rise time of the adhesive is between 1 to 8 minutes, and the curing time ranges from 10 to 20 minutes under ideal conditions (25 °C / 77 °F and 50% relative humidity). The adhesive must be applied at ambient temperatures between 21 °C and 32 °C (70 °F to 90 °F), and the product should be conditioned for up to 24 hours prior to use to ensure proper performance. A temperature strip on the Part B container helps verify readiness for application.
Special Notes:
- DUOTACK SPF ADHESIVE is not UV stable and should be protected by the membrane or other covering materials after installation.
- The product has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in its original sealed container in a dry, ventilated area at temperatures between 10 °C and 27 °C (50 °F and 80 °F).
- Coverage is approximately 278.7 m² (3,000 ft²) per kit under standard application conditions.
- Uncured adhesive can be cleaned from tools and surfaces using solvents such as mineral spirits, Varsol, or xylene.
- Care must be taken to avoid overspray on membrane laps, which should be protected during application. If overspray occurs, clean the area before sealing with a hot air welder.
- Non-compliance with temperature and application guidelines may result in product degradation or equipment failure.
This adhesive is a critical component in SOPREMA’s adhered roofing systems and should be used in accordance with manufacturer guidelines to ensure optimal performance and durability.
