Description
BONDER - LONG POT LIFE, STRUCTURAL EPOXY ADHESIVE NON-SAG PASTE
KEMKO 028 LP Paste Bonder – Long Pot Life, Structural Epoxy Adhesive (Non-Sag Paste). KEMKO 028 LP is a two-component, long pot life, low exotherm, non-sag structural epoxy adhesive designed for bonding concrete, masonry, stone, and steel. It is particularly suited for horizontal, vertical, and overhead applications. Key uses include bonding hardened concrete to concrete, seismic upgrades (e.g., K-Bracing), anchoring bolts/dowels/rebar, segmental bonding in bridges and highways, and sealing cracks prior to epoxy injection.
· Part A (Resin): White
· Part B (Hardener): Black
· Mixed Color: Blue-Gray
· Mix Ratio: 2:1 by volume (100:35 by weight)
· No VOCs, no silica fillers, environmentally safe.
· Bonding hardened concrete to concrete
· Seismic and structural upgrades in masonry and historical buildings
· Anchoring steel components and rebar
· Void and gap filling in pre-cast concrete
· Surface sealing for crack injection systems
· Suitable for dry and damp (not wet) substrates
· Application Tools: V-notch trowel, squeegee, paint roller; spray for large areas
· Substrate Prep: CSP 2 to CSP 4, minimum 250 psi tensile strength (ASTM C1583)
· Mixing: Jiffy mixer blade, low-speed drill (350–750 rpm), 2–3 minutes mix time
· Bond Line: Minimum 15 mils for plastic-to-concrete; at least 4 mils above surface peaks otherwise
· Aggregate Extension: One gallon yields 231 in³; extendable to ~500 in³ with sand
