KEMKO 050 Slump IR

KEMKO 050 Slump IR – Structural Epoxy Adhesive for Pressure Injection (Slump Pumping). KEMKO 050 is a two-component, low viscosity, high-strength structural epoxy adhesive designed for pressure injection grouting using the KIP (KEMKO Injection Process) System. It is ideal for repairing cracks and delaminations in concrete, masonry, stone, and wood, particularly where sealing the back side of the crack is not possible. Its short working time and high viscosity allow it to gel quickly, making it suitable for on-grade and vertical applications requiring “slump pumping” procedures.

·      Base Resin (Part A): Clear Amber

·      Hardener (Part B): Dark Purple

·      Mixed Color: Dark Purple

·      Mix Ratio: 2:1 by volume (100:45 by weight)

·      Applied using the KIP automatic meter, mix, and dispense system.

·      Pressure injection of cracks in concrete and other substrates

·      Grouting of load-bearing voids under equipment

·      Repair of structural delaminations

·      Use in damp and dry conditions

·      Suitable for concrete, masonry, stone, steel, and wood substrates

·      Minimum Crack Width: 10 mils (0.25 mm)

·      Reinjection Window: After 40–50 minutes

·      Recommended Thickness: Max 1/4 inch (6.35 mm); use pre-placed aggregate above this

·      Temperature Range for Installation: 40°F (4°C) and above

·      Gel Time (100g sample):

o      7 minutes at 73°F (23°C)

o      28 minutes at 40°F (4°C)

·      Viscosity (Mixed):

o      500 cps at 73°F

o      2000 cps at 40°F

·      Compressive Strength: 16,000 psi

·      Tensile Strength: 6,000 psi

·      Flexural Strength: 11,000 psi

·      Compressive Modulus: 500,000 psi

·      Pull-Off Bond Strength: 400 psi (concrete failure)

·      Wet Slant Shear Strength @ 40°F, 7 Days: Concrete failure

·      Heat Deflection Temperature: 110°F (43°C)

·      Not UV resistant; intended for internal structural repairs

·      VOC-free and compliant with environmental standards

·      Suitable alternative products based on conditions:

o      For very narrow cracks (as small as 2 mils): KEMKO 068 LoVis IR

o      For wide cracks (6 mils to 1/4"): KEMKO 038 IR Regular

o      For colder installations (35–65°F): KEMKO 322 ULV IR

o      For hot conditions (>90°F): KEMKO 030 HiAmb IR

o      For large voids: KEMKO 077

·      Should not be thinned or diluted

·      Mixed product is dark purple; custom clear amber available

·      Storage: 3-year shelf life in original sealed containers at 50–90°F
