KEMKO 136 StripSEAL – Non-sag polyurea injection seal for concrete and masonry.  KEMKO 136 StripSEAL is designed as a removable, fast-curing crack and surface sealant for use in concrete and masonry repairs. It is primarily used in conjunction with epoxy injection grouting within the KIP (KEMKO Injection Process) System, acting as a surface dam to contain the injected resin.

 KEMKO 136 StripSEAL is a two-component product (Part A and Part B) mixed in a 1:1 volume ratio (100:91 by weight). It is used as a preparatory component before epoxy injection resins. While the sealer itself is removable and temporary, its use is integral within the overall injection repair system offered by ChemCo Systems.

 Applied to seal cracks and delaminations in vertical, horizontal, and overhead concrete or masonry surfaces before epoxy injection. Ideal for decorative concrete where grinding should be avoided. Used in structural crack repair, especially where rapid sealing and curing are required.

·      Mixing: Manual mixing for small batches with a trowel or mechanical mixing for larger batches. Mixed material must be uniform in color (blue-gray).

·      Application: Applied at 1/8 inch (2.175 mm) thickness without sagging using a putty knife or margin trowel. Pull-tabs should be embedded during application for later removal.

·      Pot Life: Very short; gel time is 4 minutes at 73°F (23°C) and 9 minutes at 40°F (4°C).

·      Curing Time: Initial bond strength of over 200 psi is developed in 30 minutes at 73°F (23°C) and 90 minutes at 40°F (4°C).

·      Full Cure & Injection Ready: Ready for epoxy injection after approximately 1 hour at 73°F (23°C), or 3 hours at 40°F (4°C). The material should resist finger pressure before injection.

·      Temperature Limits: Minimum substrate temperature for application is 40°F (4.4°C).

·      Surface Prep: Substrates must be dry, sound, and clean (CSP 1–4 per ICRI Guideline 310.2R). Not for damp/wet surfaces.

·      Non-UV Stable: Material is not UV stable and may show discoloration and chalking under sunlight if not removed.

·      Thickness Limits: Applied at 1/8 inch, non-sag application.

·      Packaging: Available in 2-gallon kits and 600 ml cartridges.

·      Shelf Life: 1 year in unopened containers stored between 60°F–90°F.

·      Color: Mixed product is concrete blue-gray. Custom colors available with minimum orders.

·      Clean-Up: Uncured material may be cleaned with acetone; cured material requires epoxy stripper.

·      Contains no VOCs, suitable for interior use with ventilation.

·      Designed for use only by certified KEMKO applicators.

·      Removal leaves a clean concrete surface with mild roughening.

·      Use of a water-based silane sealer prior to application is recommended when aesthetics of decorative concrete are critical.
