Description
Injection Resin – Ultra-Low Viscosity, Cold Weather, Epoxy-Acrylic for Presure Injection
Material Use:
KEMKO 322 is an ultra-low viscosity, two-component epoxy-acrylic hybrid adhesive resin formulated for cold weather structural repairs and pressure injection grouting. It is primarily used for structural crack injection, bonding, and as a rapid-setting primer or surface consolidator for concrete, masonry, and wood.
· Part A (resin) and Part B (hardener) in a 2:1 mix ratio by volume.
· Typically applied using the KIP (KEMKO Injection Process) automatic dispensing equipment.
· Compatible with KEMKO 038, 068, 030, 050, and 077 for alternative conditions and crack sizes.
· When thickness exceeds 1/4" (6.35 mm), pre-place uniform aggregate to manage exothermic heat.
· Pressure injection grouting of fine cracks (down to 2 mils / 0.05 mm).
· Repair of delaminations and voids in concrete, masonry, grout, and wood.
· Anchoring of steel elements (bolts, dowels, rebar).
· Bonding dissimilar materials to concrete/masonry.
· Reinforcement with CFRP or steel plates.
· Healer-Sealer for porous concrete surfaces.
· Primer for rapid-setting applications or topcoats.
· Substrate Temperature Range: Minimum 35°F (1.7°C); cure begins at 40°F (4.4°C).
· Pot Life (Gel Time): 15 minutes at 73°F (23°C), 45 minutes at 40°F (4°C).
· Thin Film Tack-Free: 5.5 to 6.5 hours at 73°F.
· Use within 1–3 hours for priming before tack loss (depending on substrate temperature).
· Flood coat coverage (Healer-Sealer): 80–125 sq. ft. per gallon (0.008–0.0125 Gal/ft²).
· Not UV-stable; exposure to UV may require protective topcoat.
· Thickness Limit: Up to 1/4" (6.35 mm); thicker applications require pre-placed aggregate.
· Recommended CSP (Concrete Surface Profile): CSP 2 to CSP 4.
· Installation humidity and direct water contact tolerance is excellent; adheres to damp, wet, or underwater substrates.
· VOC Free and suitable for indoor or confined space use.
· High mechanical strength (compressive: ~15,000 psi; tensile: ~7,800 psi).
· Heat Deflection Temperature: 120°F; limit service temperature to 100°F for structural applications.
· Excellent resistance to acids, bases, oils, fuels; limited hydrocarbon solvent resistance.
· Color options include standard amber or fluorescent pink/yellow for visibility.
· Cartridges and various kit sizes available (3, 15, 150 gallons).
· Do not thin or add solvents; requires complete mixing and prompt use to avoid rapid exotherm.
