Poly-Caulk JS-45

Poly-Caulk^® JS-45 is a self-leveling, 100% solid, two-component modified polyurea-based elastomeric joint sealant. Poly-Caulk^® JS-45 is a flexible material that is designed for 25% movement of an installed joint width.

 Poly-Caulk JS-45 is designed to seal cracks, contraction joints, and control joints on new or existing horizontal concrete surfaces. Its fast curing makes it ideal for areas requiring rapid return to service, such as industrial floors, sidewalks, bridge decks, and parking structures.

 This product consists of a two-component system with a 1:1 volume ratio:

·       Side A and Side B, each in equal parts.

•  It is machine-dispensed using a dual-cartridge or 1:1 pump system, with or without a heater.

 Suitable for the following applications:

·       Balcony and Bridge Decks

·       Industrial and Parking Decks

·       Roofing and Sidewalks

·       Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities

·       Installation Temperature: ≥ 70°F (21°C)

·       Exposure Range: -40°F to 200°F (-40°C to 93.3°C)

·       Joint Preparation: Requires freshly abraded, dust-free edges using diamond-blade saw equipment. For broom-finished concrete, overfilling should be avoided.

·       Sealant Depth: Should be ½ the joint width, but not exceed 1 inch in depth.

·       Pot Life: 3–4 minutes

·       Gel Time: 2–3 minutes

·       Tack-Free Time: < 5 minutes at 77°F, 50% RH

·       Foot Traffic Ready: 2 hours

Coverage (Linear Feet per Gallon):

·       Not UV Stable – may discolor under UV exposure but retains physical properties.

·       Not suitable under non-resilient or polymer flooring systems.

·       Not recommended on slopes >15%.

·       Open Cell Backer Rod recommended for all joints (except for small random cracks).

·       Shelf Life: 1 year in sealed containers stored at 60–95°F (15–35°C)

·       No VOCs, Odorless, and USDA/FSIS approved

·       Abrasion Resistant, Fuel Resistant, and Maintains Flexibility in Cold Conditions
