Polycoat Fabric-40

Polycoat Fabric-40 is a 100% polyester reinforcement, stitch bond 2.98 oz. fabric used in deck coating systems, urethane and all other elastomeric, liquid-applied coatings. Polycoat Fabric-40 adds tremendous strength and reinforcement to any elastomeric liquid-applied coating system.

 Polycoat Fabric-40 is a Stitch Bond 2.98 oz., 100% polyester reinforcement fabric used to strengthen and support elastomeric, liquid-applied coatings. It is primarily utilized in deck coating systems, urethane systems, and various waterproofing systems. Its role is to provide added durability, crack resistance, and longevity in waterproofing membranes and traffic coatings.

 Polycoat Fabric-40 is designed to be used in conjunction with liquid-applied elastomeric coatings. It is not a standalone product but a reinforcement component in systems such as:

·       Aquatight – Anti-fracture membrane for under tile and pavers

·       PC-IM 129

·       Aquaseal 5000WC

·       Poly-I-Gard 575FC

·       Polydeck 160SC

 This reinforcement fabric is used for:

·       Reinforcing cracks, seams, joints, splits, and tears

·       Strengthening critical areas like drains, scuppers, penetrations, transitions, and flashing details

·       Managing spider cracking in concrete, particularly in parking decks and roof restoration systems

 Polycoat Fabric-40 comes in rolls of various widths:

·       4” x 324’ (108 yards)

·       6” x 324’ (108 yards)

·       40” x 324’ (108 yards)

It features high durability and flexibility:

·       Bursting Strength: 119 lbs/sq inch

·       Tear Strength: 11.0 lbs (warp), 21.25 lbs (weft)

·       Elongation: 20.05% (warp), 70.05% (weft)

·       Tensile Strength: 56.35 lbs (warp), 44.80 lbs (weft)

·       The fabric should always be embedded into the liquid-applied coating per system requirements.

·       It must be stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, heat, and moisture. Do not store directly on concrete floors.

·       This product is intended for professional use only, and proper PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn during installation.

·       Polycoat Fabric-40 does not have independent UV resistance, curing, or pot life specifications as it functions as a reinforcement mesh embedded in other materials.

·       Ensure the use of compatible elastomeric systems as outlined in the system components above for proper integration and performance.
