Polyester Tape is a spun-bonded, non-woven, polyesterweb tape. Polyester Tape is used in many Polydeck® Decking Systems.
Material Use:
Polyester Tape is a spun-bonded, non-woven reinforcement material primarily used to strengthen high-stress areas in waterproofing and decking systems. It is designed to be integrated into Polydeck Decking Systems for improved structural integrity at vulnerable zones.
System Components:
Polyester Tape is a reinforcing accessory used in conjunction with liquid-applied waterproofing or decking membranes, particularly within the Polydeck system range. It is not a standalone product but functions as a component layered into full system assemblies where stress cracking, joint movement, or substrate discontinuity may occur.
Applications:
The tape is intended for use over:
· Concrete surfaces
· MaPlywood substrates
· Cracks and seams
· Flashings
· Joints
· Other high stress or transition areas
It is especially suited for deck waterproofing systems requiring embedded fabric reinforcement.

Special Notes:
Polyester Tape should be embedded into the wet base coat of compatible Polydeck systems or other liquid membranes per system specifications. It reinforces waterproofing assemblies and mitigates failure at joints, seams, and structural transitions.
It must be installed by professionals trained in Polycoat Products to ensure optimal performance. This material does not provide UV resistance on its own and must be covered by a compatible coating or membrane. Environmental installation limitations (temperature, humidity) will depend on the base and final coats used with this tape and should follow the main system's technical guidelines.
