Description
A superior-quality one-package coating, Pro Industrial™ Silver-Brite® Aluminum Paint is formulated with 325-mesh leafing aluminum pigment, petroleum resin and select oils to produce a chrome-like, uniform appearance.
Material Use:
Pro Industrial™ Silver-Brite® Aluminum Paint is a high-performance, one-component, general-purpose aluminum paint designed for both interior and exterior applications. It is formulated with 325 mesh leafing aluminum pigment, petroleum resin, and select oils to provide a chrome-like, uniform metallic finish. This product is ideal for use in industrial and commercial environments where heat resistance, weather protection, and aesthetic metallic appearance are required.
System Components:
This aluminum paint is typically used as a topcoat in a multi-layer system. Depending on the substrate, it must be applied over a compatible primer. The system may include:
- Primer (varies by substrate, see below)
- 2 coats of Pro Industrial™ Silver-Brite® Aluminum Paint
Applications:
Pro Industrial™ Silver-Brite® Aluminum Paint is suitable for use on properly prepared steel, concrete, masonry, primed galvanized metal, and aluminum. It is recommended for:
- Piping
- Bridges
- Fences
- Refineries
- Siding
- Storage tanks (exterior)
- Insulated pipe and ductwork (interior)
Application Details:

- Insulated Pipe & Ductwork (130°F / 54°C to 400°F / 204°C):
- No primer required
- 2 coats Silver-Brite® Aluminum Paint
Special Notes:
- Do not apply more than 1.5 mils DFT per coat to avoid blistering and peeling.
- Stir gently before use; do not shake or over-agitate to prevent mottling.
- Stripe coat welds, crevices, and sharp angles for enhanced protection.
- For spray application, use 50% overlap and consider cross-spraying to avoid holidays and pinholes.
- Surface preparation is critical; follow SSPC and ICRI standards for cleaning and profiling.
- Not compliant with SCAQMD or LEED® VOC emission standards.
- Clean tools and equipment with compliant solvent immediately after use.
- Rags and waste soaked with this product may spontaneously combust; dispose of properly in a sealed, water-filled metal container.
This product is best suited for industrial and commercial applications where a metallic aluminum finish is desired along with moderate heat resistance and weather durability. It is not recommended for use in environments requiring high UV stability or LEED-compliant coatings.
