Sikafloor DecoFlake System

Sikafloor® DecoFlake® is a decorative, seamless epoxy flooring system designed for areas requiring durability, hygiene, and a visually aesthetic finish. It is ideal for commercial, institutional, and light industrial environments.

The system includes the following Sika products:

• Primer: Sikafloor®-261CA
• Body Coat: Sikafloor®-261CA
• Decorative Flakes: Sikafloor® DecoFlake®
• Grout Coat: Sikafloor®-2002
• Finish Coat: Sikafloor®-2002 (optional: Sikafloor®-317 for matte finish, Sikafloor®-318 for satin finish)

• Restaurant and cafeteria areas

• Grocery and retail stores
• Light to medium production facilities
• Pharmaceutical labs and production rooms

Two system thickness options are offered:

1. 1.5 mm (1/16 in) System
• Primer: Sikafloor®-261CA at 5 m²/L (203 ft²/gal) – 8 mils wet film thickness (w.f.t.)
• Body Coat: Sikafloor®-261CA at 2 m²/L (80 ft²/gal) – 20 mils w.f.t., broadcast with ~1 kg/m² DecoFlake
• Grout Coat: Sikafloor®-2002 at 4 m²/L (163 ft²/gal) – 10 mils w.f.t.
• Finish Coat: Sikafloor®-2002 at 8 m²/L (325 ft²/gal) – 5 mils w.f.t.
2. 3 mm (1/8 in) System
• Primer: Sikafloor®-261CA at 5 m²/L (203 ft²/gal), broadcast with quartz aggregate (~5 kg/m²)
• Body Coat: Sikafloor®-261CA at 1.3 m²/L (53 ft²/gal) – 30 mils w.f.t., broadcast with DecoFlake (~1 kg/m²)
• Grout Coat: Sikafloor®-2002 at 4 m²/L
• Finish Coat: Sikafloor®-2002 at 8 m²/L

• Pot Life: 30–40 minutes at 23 °C (73 °F) for 250g batch
• Cure: Foot traffic resistance after initial cure; full cure times depend on ambient conditions
• Temperature Range: Minimum substrate temperature is 10 °C (50 °F), max 30 °C (86 °F)
• Humidity Limits: Max 85% RH during application and cure. Substrate must be 3 °C above dew point
• Substrate Moisture: Must be <4%; otherwise, use Sikafloor®-81 EpoCem®CA
• UV Stability: UV stable topcoats, but may discolor under continuous UV exposure
• Thickness Limits:
• 1.5 mm system: approx. 40–43 mils total (including all coats)
• 3 mm system: approx. 65–70 mils total
• Coverage:
• Body coat at 2 m²/L = 80 ft²/gal
• Finish coat at 8 m²/L = 325 ft²/gal
• Mixing: Mechanical mixing only – do not hand mix
• Surface Prep: ICRI CSP 3–5 profile, concrete compressive strength min 25 MPa

This system is not intended for exterior use or slab-on-grade concrete unless moisture mitigation is applied. Protect against moisture and water during initial 24-hour cure. The system is impermeable, seamless, and offers excellent chemical, abrasion, and impact resistance.
