SOPRA-SPF 200 LT

SOPRA-SPF 200 LT is a two-component, closed-cell, spray-applied polyurethane foam insulation system designed for use in commercial, industrial, and residential construction. It is specifically formulated for low-temperature applications and provides high-performance thermal insulation for exterior walls, interior walls, and foundation surfaces. The product is ideal for use where energy efficiency and air/vapor barrier performance are critical.

SOPRA-SPF 200 LT is a system composed of two parts:

- SOPRA-SPF ISO (Part A)

- SOPRA-SPF 200 LT RESIN (Part B)

These components must be mixed in a 1:1 volume ratio and are not interchangeable with components from other manufacturers. The system is applied using a mechanical purge spray gun and a proportioner capable of maintaining the required pressure and temperature.

This spray foam insulation is suitable for use on a variety of substrates including masonry, concrete, wood, metal, gypsum, and sanded bitumen membranes. It is commonly used in wall assemblies and foundation insulation systems, providing both thermal insulation and air sealing. It is compliant with CAN/ULC-S705.1-15 and CAN/ULC-S705.2 standards, making it suitable for regulated building envelope applications.

- Application Temperature Range: -10 °C to 10 °C (14 °F to 50 °F)

- Maximum Service Temperature: 82 °C (180 °F)

- UV Resistance: Limited to 6 months of exposure; must be covered after installation

- Spray Equipment Requirements: Mechanical purge spray gun with hose heaters set to 38 °C to 49 °C (100 °F to 120 °F); spraying pressure between 1,000 and 1,500 psi (69 to 103 bar)

- Layer Thickness: Maximum 50 mm (2 in) per pass

- Daily Maximum Thickness: 150 mm (6 in); additional layers require a 24-hour wait

- Waiting Time Between Layers:

- 15 minutes after first 50 mm

- 45 minutes after second 50 mm

- 24 hours for additional layers beyond 150 mm

- Environmental Limitations: Do not apply when relative humidity exceeds 85% or in the presence of rain, fog, or ice. Substrate must be clean and dry.

- Pot Life / Reactivity:

- Cream Time: 0–1 second

- Gel Time: 3.5–4 seconds

- Tack-Free Time: 5–6 seconds

- Rise Time: 7–8 seconds

- Curing Time Before Occupancy: 25 hours (per CAN/ULC-S774)

- SOPRA-SPF 200 LT must be applied by certified installers trained under ISO 17024 and CAN/ULC-S705.2 standards.

- The product must be stored between 15 °C and 24 °C (60 °F to 75 °F) and conditioned to 20 °C to 25 °C (68 °F to 77 °F) for at least 24 hours (drums) or 48 hours (totes) before use.

- Shelf Life:

- SOPRA-SPF ISO (Part A): 12 months

- SOPRA-SPF 200 LT RESIN (Part B): 6 months

- The product has a low Global Warming Potential (GWP = 1) and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP = 0), making it an environmentally responsible choice.

- SOPRA-SPF 200 LT has been tested and certified by Underwriters Laboratories (ULC ER-R40724) and is listed under CCMC Evaluation 14414-L.

- The product exhibits excellent dimensional stability, low water absorption (1.1% by volume), and high compressive strength (190 kPa / 27.55 psi).

- Aged thermal resistance (ASTM C518) for 50 mm (2 in) thickness is RSI-2.4 (R-13.9).
