Material Use:
SOPRADRAIN 15-G is a high-strength drainage panel designed for use in commercial waterproofing systems. It is primarily used to facilitate drainage in vertical and horizontal applications such as foundation walls, blindside waterproofing systems, and plaza decks. The product is installed over waterproofing membranes to protect them from hydrostatic pressure and to promote water flow away from the structure.
System Components:
SOPRADRAIN 15-G consists of a durable core made from recycled polyethylene and a factory-laminated geotextile fabric. The drainage core provides structural strength and water flow capacity, while the geotextile acts as a filter to prevent soil particles from clogging the drainage system. It can be used in conjunction with SOPREMA waterproofing membranes and accessories such as SOPRASEAL FLASHPRO for sealing joints.

Application Details:
- Conventional Foundations: The panel is installed with the geotextile facing the backfill. It can be partially adhered using compatible adhesives or fastened at the leading edge above the waterproofing layer using a termination bar. Fasteners should be placed at 305 mm (12 in) on center.
- Blindside Waterproofing: The geotextile should face the retaining wall. The panel is mechanically fastened using anchors and washers (minimum 25 mm diameter), with at least one anchor per square meter (10 ft²), and additional anchors at angle changes or details.
- Plaza Decks: The panel is installed loose-laid with the geotextile facing upward. Heavy materials are used to hold it in place.
Special Notes:
- Do not use mechanical anchors through waterproofing membranes, as this can compromise the integrity of the waterproofing system.
- Joints between panels should be sealed using self-adhesive membranes such as SOPRASEAL FLASHPRO to ensure continuity.
- SOPRADRAIN 15-G is made from pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled polyethylene, contributing to sustainable building practices.
- Store rolls upright in a clean, dry location, protected from UV exposure, extreme temperatures, and moisture. Do not double stack pallets.

SOPRADRAIN 15-G is a non-UV stable product and should be protected from prolonged exposure to sunlight during storage and installation. It is a passive drainage component and does not have pot life, curing time, or temperature limitations for installation, but it must be installed in accordance with SOPREMA guidelines to ensure performance and compatibility with adjacent waterproofing systems.
