SOPRAFLOR P is typically used as part of the SOPRANATURE green roofing system. It functions as the growing medium layer and may be used in conjunction with other SOPREMA components such as drainage layers, root barriers, filter fabrics, and waterproofing membranes. Enrichment products such as fertilizers or soil amendments may be incorporated into the substrate depending on the plant palette and project requirements.

This product is suitable for use in green roofs, rooftop gardens, planters, and other vegetated landscaping systems installed at grade or on elevated structures. It is ideal for projects requiring a lightweight, high-performance growing medium that supports plant health and meets environmental performance standards.

SOPRAFLOR P should be evenly spread using a rake and thoroughly watered until the substrate is saturated. A tailored fertilization, planting, and maintenance program is recommended to ensure optimal plant growth. The product is delivered in bulk per cubic yard (yd³), and its installation should be coordinated with SOPREMA representatives to ensure compatibility with the overall SOPRANATURE system.

- SOPRAFLOR P has been tested in accordance with ASTM E2397 and ASTM E2399, as well as the Mehlich III extraction method for nutrient analysis.

- The substrate has a water retention capacity of up to 56.2%, air porosity of 13.4%, and an organic matter content of 18.7%.

- pH is balanced at 6.6, making it suitable for a wide range of plant species.

- The dry density is 734 kg/m³ (45.8 lb/ft³), and the saturated density at field capacity is 1300 kg/m³ (81.2 lb/ft³), which is important for structural load calculations.

- This product is not a liquid and does not have pot life, curing time, or temperature limitations typical of coatings or repair materials.

- It is important to consult with SOPREMA for specific installation guidelines and to ensure compatibility with other system components.
