Uniflex® Silicone44™Rubberized Silicone Gray Roof Coating is a premium silicone rubber roof ideal for ponding water.
Material Use:
Uniflex™ 44-300 is a premium high solids, moisture-cure, rubberized silicone roof coating designed to provide excellent resistance to ponding water. It is suitable for use over a variety of commercial roofing substrates including galvanized metal, EPDM, TPO, PVC, SBS and APP modified bitumen, smooth BUR, cured concrete, SPF, and previously coated acrylic, silicone, or urethane roofs.
System Components:
- Base Coat / Final Coat: Uniflex™ Silicone 44-300 Roof Coating acts as both base and top coat in single-coat applications.
- Primers (as required by substrate):
- Galvanized Metal: Uniflex 34-520 Rust Inhibitive Metal Primer
- EPDM: Clean with Uniflex Bond-it Rinse Primer 38-620
- APP/SBS Modified Bitumen & Smooth BUR: Uniflex 41-530 Bleed Blocker Primer
- Cured Concrete and SPF: No primer required unless specified by substrate condition
- Repair Sealant: Uniflex One Flash Repair Sealant 51-920/921 for flashing and penetrations
Applications:
Used for coating commercial roofing systems to improve waterproofing, UV protection, and longevity of roof surfaces. The coating is especially effective for roofs that may experience ponding water.
Application Details:
- Application Temperature:
- Air: 40°F to 120°F
- Surface: 40°F to 140°F
- Material must remain above 40°F for 72 hours post-application
- Humidity: Apply on dry days with a maximum of 70% relative humidity; avoid if rain or dew is expected within 2–4 hours
- Thickness:
- Wet mils: Minimum 24 mil
- Dry mils: 22 mil
- Coverage: Approx. 75 sq. ft. per gallon
- Pot Life: Not applicable (moisture-cure system begins curing upon exposure to air)
- Cure Times @ 77°F, 50% RH:
- Touch: 4 hours
- Recoat: 24 hours
- Full Cure: 72 hours
Special Notes:
- UV Stability: Highly UV resistant with 0.90 reflectivity and thermal emissivity; Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) of 110
- Storage: Shelf life of 18 months unopened; protect from freezing and store at 45°F–80°F
- Surface Prep: All surfaces must be clean, dry, and properly prepared; aged substrates must meet specific curing times (e.g., concrete must cure 29 days)
- Mixing: Stir manually before use; do not use mechanical shaking
- Safety: Use PPE during application; avoid walking on cured surfaces unless granules are embedded to prevent slips
- Packaging: Available in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums
This material provides robust performance for exterior roof applications and is compliant with multiple standards including MIAMI-DADE, NSF, UL, Title 24, and CRRC ratings.
