Description

URECO EG is a heavy duty three component cementitious polyurethane system.

QUANTITY PER PACKAGING - 6

Material Use:

URECO EG is a heavy-duty, three-component, trowel-applied cementitious polyurethane flooring system. It is specifically designed for industrial and commercial environments requiring high resistance to chemical exposure, thermal shock, and mechanical wear. The system is ideal for protecting concrete substrates in areas subject to aggressive conditions, including exposure to hot oils, steam, and heavy traffic.

System Components:

URECO EG is a pre-measured three-part system consisting of:

- Part 1: Resin (pigmented)

- Part 2: Hardener

- Part 3: Aggregate (filler)

No primer is required for application, and the system can be installed directly onto properly prepared concrete substrates. For enhanced chemical resistance and aesthetics, URECO EG may be top-coated with URECO TC or URECO XTC.

Applications:

URECO EG is suitable for a wide range of industrial and food processing environments, including:

- Chemical processing plants

- Food and beverage production areas

- Cook/chill zones

- Bottling lines

- Sanitation and washdown areas

- Plant vehicle aisles

Application Details:

URECO EG is applied using a steel trowel at a thickness of 6 mm (1/4") to 9 mm (3/8"). The substrate must be clean, dry, and profiled to ICRI CSP 3–6 using mechanical preparation methods such as shot blasting or grinding. The product has a pot life of approximately 15 minutes at 25°C, and should not be applied at temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C. Moisture content of the substrate must not exceed 10%.

Curing Times at 21°C:

- Foot traffic: 6–8 hours

- Recoat (if topcoat is used): 8–10 hours

- Light wheel traffic: 8–10 hours

- Full service: 12–16 hours

Special Notes:

- URECO EG is odorless, non-toxic, and does not require ventilation during installation, making it suitable for sensitive environments such as food processing facilities.

- The system is resistant to fungi and mold growth and meets Canadian Food Inspection Agency standards.

- It is thermal shock resistant and can withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures up to 260°F (126°C), including live steam.

- The product is self-extinguishing and has excellent adhesion to concrete (>400 psi, with concrete failure before bond failure).

- URECO EG is not UV stable and should be top-coated with URECO TC or URECO XTC if UV exposure is expected.

- Coverage is approximately 22–24 square feet per unit at 1/4" thickness.

- Storage conditions must be controlled: store between 15°C and 21°C in a dry area. Avoid moisture contamination, especially of the aggregate component.

- Shelf life: 12 months for resin and hardener, 6 months for aggregate.

Limitations:

- Do not apply below 5°C or above 30°C.

- Substrate moisture must be below 10%.

- Protect from condensation or overhead leaks during application.

- Not suitable for exterior applications without UV-stable topcoat.

- Pot life is reduced at higher temperatures; mix and apply promptly.

URECO EG, when used with optional topcoats URECO TC or URECO XTC, forms a complete flooring system offering superior durability, chemical resistance, and thermal performance for demanding industrial environments.
